I've managed to get a massive blister on my heal after walking round an exhibition all day. I'm Doing a 100 mil bike ride tomorrow which I have been training for for months. Is there any quick way of sorting it? I have already bought some compeed plasters but they are not helping much. I'm hoping that it will not rub as much peddling rather than walking.

Pop it with a steralised needle and cover with a sterile dressing. General best to leave alone but if you are doing extra sports then it will likely pop anyway. If you already have a compeed on it you may be buggered anyway as the glue themselves to the blister and fall of when the skin grows back.

You can get special plasters for blisters, cannot remember the name, but have used them before when I couldn't walk and found. Them great.

Probably too late with this, but ... Pop it, then .. Wait for it..... Pour after shave on it! It will sting like you won't believe for about 10 seconds , but I assure you you'll be walking on it in no time.... Honestly !!

Compeed. They work very well, even on broken skin.

I had a blister from walking 11.5 miles the other day....... about the size of a golf ball and very, very sore and angry.

I used some of these

Within 2 days it had healed and I was in no pain whatsoever.

Surgical spirit is a cheaper option for pouring alcohol on to wounds...

Compeed worked a treat. The bike shoes didn't rub at all. Thanks for the tips.
