As I mentioned a few pages back, it actually can be quite easy to burn 1000 calories just by a little excercise and the odd walk, I can easily burn 1000 calories in a day just by a run or 45 mins bootcamp and a dog walk in the evening.
Not sure why you are telling me that, it's me that said it!

that is a lot of Golf !
Nope. I typically work 0630 till 14-1530 and I dont have kids. Leaves some time after golf if there are things to catch up on.

If I don't feel like golfing, I will go for a 2hr walk instead with my partner, doesn't do as much but still should put my in calorie deficit.

1000 cals is quite a lot, i.e. ion top of your basic metabolic rate of 150 - 200 an hour, fair amount fo activity, a full day of lower intensity stuff but possible I guess.

Of course it's possible, hundreds/thousands of people do it a few times a week

Well according to "myfitnesspal" which is synced to my Fitbit; I know it isn't 100% accurate but gives an indication, so far today I have burned off 1121 calories doing excercise/moving about (this doesn't include my metabolic rate); I did 45 mins bootcamp this morning and I am on my feet alot of the day and I have yet to walk the dogs this evening and if I look back through the week it only got as low as 996, the rest of the week it averages around 1500 calories per day.

My Fitness Pal is massively inaccurate when it comes to calculating calories burned. It claimed almost double for an exercise than what the actual machine I was using told me I'd burned.

Unless it knows your age, height, weight, BF%, sex, experience, etc none of them are 'accurate'. It's all a best guess/average.

Yeah, when cycling it reckons I use as more energy than my car uses, its like 900 calories for 14 miles when in reality I reckon its 400 - 500 tops.

Is this quick enough ?

Was 18 st 1 on the 13th of June, today am 16 st 11.8,

17 pounds in 27 days, body fat dropped from 31.5 percent to 28.

No alcohol is the key for me, as I dont have the calories from it, and I dont start eating crap.

Working on circa 1500 - 1700 calories a day and getting some exercise in.

Have got into jeans comfortably I haven't worn in two years.

That is more a hunger strike than a diet.

I have decided to more or less give up alcohol, certainly routine drinking at home, the weight only comes back on if you let it, I am aiming for about 14/15 st so still a way to go before I get to that.

Cheers, I am surprised how easy it has come off, but I have not cheated, been consistently around 1500 cals and probably need nearer 2500 - 3000, I guess it will slow down a bit now though.

Only issue is a holiday in two weeks

Im doing the same levels at the moment. Some days its damn hard to stick to though! Even a couple of slices of toast over blows the 'budget' by around 300 calories!

Generally have been sticking to between 1500-1800 overall. Still seems to be working though quite well.

Breakfast : Porridge, reckon on just under 300 Cals based on weighing it once and working it out.

Lunch : Sandwich, usually Chicken, Ham or Turkey with salad on brown, 300 cals, todays was Pastrami and gherkin on brown bread. butter is used but at a molecular thickness. Sometimes the meal soups from Sainsburys, again 300 ish.

Afternoon : Banana and a small yoghurt - about 200 cals - but not every day

Evening meal : Baked Potato, Chicken breast and salad or whatever is going really, just not huge amounts of it except for the veg or the salad, fill up on that, very sparing with dressings or anything like that. Last night was curry and rice, but about half what I would have had in the past.

To drink, water, Coffee (no sugar, bit of semi skimmed) or Diet Coke.

Snack wise, I have these,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00577X92C/ref=sr_ph?ie...

But only a small handful, be really sparing as have loads of calories, they do stave off hunger a bit longer and are really nutritious, taste pretty good as well, apart from Walnuts which are grim

If I train I have a Protein shake afterwards, think that works out to about 200 so that bumps it up.

I just use calories as a guide as all calories are not equal, a few nuts maybe 150 but they take some processing and provide some nutrition where 150 cals of crisps dont

I ride with it when not hungry, like in the morning, I defer breakfast until 10 am if I can, then that means lunch can go until say 1.30 and then tea isnt at 6pm leaving the rest of the evening to get hungry and start snacking, that hour in the morning has a knock on all day.

I have stopped slapping loads on my plate, stopped coming in and getting a bag of crisps, stopped drinking etc, just been in for a swift pint in my local, but had a diet Coke.

Bananas have a lot of sugar in them, if your going to eat fruit, eat berries. Much lower sugar content.

Also, if you can, switch the potato in the evening out for brown rice or quinoa. Or ditch it all together and increase other green veggies.
