Congratulations! Lovely to see the '16 babies coming in.

Littlestgreenfairy came bursting into the world at 0020 this morning by emergency c section. Only 13 days late and a massive 4kg.
Congratulations to you too! We thought Sophie would need a C section too as mums blood pressure was going up and Sophie's was dropping on every contraction. Fairly stressful!

Glad all is ok with you.

After a stint in SCBU and being intubated, monitored for brain damage and a brief spell of refusing to breathe she has been disconnected from all tubes and allowed back with me.

Bloody terrifying

Little Master Jack somehow managed to roll over onto his belly this morning. He's always seemed strong for his age but at 2.5 months, that's not supposed to happen. I'm classinghtis as milestone 2, milestone 1 was smiling without filling his nappy. biggrin

Let's hope it's 2015 for apple juice rather than 2 weeks later. That would be cruel on Mrs Cyder.

The smaller of the green fairies is due to make an appearance sometime towards the end of February. It's currently a mine field of knowing what on earth you need in a pram, getting glared at by sales assistants for getting the giggles over stupid mushy sayings on baby grows and being boggled as to why someone would want what is essentially a coffee maker for baby milk.]
Tommy Tippee perfrct prep machine?

An utter godsend when all you have to do is press a button and add some powder for perfect temperature milk.

We switched to one after my wife stopped b/f and it's probably the best baby gadget we've bought.

Hornet Juniorette#2 came into the world yesterday morning by section at 10.25am. She was 7lb 3.5oz which is 2oz lighter than our first - both girls.

Amazing experience and so positive, massive relief after our first which resulted in a week long hospital stay for MrsH. This time we're all home already and life is sweet!

Edit for unnoticed autocorrects...

My partner is currently 15 weeks plus 3, couldn't be more excited if i tried to be honest!

We've got the bulk of the stuff ordered, pram, Tommee Tippee this that and the other, all the 0-3m clothes and a fair bit of 3-6 etc, just a few more bits to get, car seat, Chicco Next To Me and some kind of baby seat and we're good to go! Due date is currently 8th September but as it'll be a section it'll be before then!

Can anyone recommend any good books for fathers to be?

Something that covers all the basic of pregnancy and early life?

The expectant Dad's handbook by Dean Beaumont is pretty good.

Got our 20 week scan this afternoon, we're not going to find out what it is, but I'm looking forward to seeing how much it's grown.
