I need some help though, my Passat Estate is not appropriate for a baby because it doesn't do anything to tell non-parents how much better I am. Which 2WD SUV should I get?
Also where do you get those stick-man stickers so everyone knows I have a perfect family?

Our first is due on the 16th July, so just had scan at 28 weeks.
Everything is set up at home, have been given loads of kit, god knows how many cribs/beds/car seats and fortunately we've only had to spend about £250.
The wife is a senior midwife so hopefully she knows what she is doing, I think we will be having a home birth. We have the 3rd of 4 hypnobirthing classes tonight, but I can't say I am entirely convinced by them.

Littlestgreenfairy will be 8 weeks on Sunday and life is beginning to return to 'normal'.
I'll be completely honest and open - post natal depression is creeping it's way into every part of my life and it's bloody hard. Definitely something that needs to be discussed more openly and honestly as you have no idea how many people it has touched until you talk about it. I really wish it was more talked about as it doesn't mean you're a failure or incapable but my god it makes you feel it.
However, she is a delight (even if she does smell like a farmyard at times) and we're getting lots of smiles and giggles as well as being able to 'sit' so long as there is a pillow behind her. That little bit of 'human' makes interacting with her so much easier than the first few weeks. You finally know if you're on the right tracks reading her mood and is much less of a guessing game. A wet nappy results in instant meltdown. I hope this means she'll potty train easily!

I'm day three in to child number two and we are knackered. I've made certain that those family members who came around last time and who were waited on hand and foot with drinks, cakes, conversation and a big welcome are made well aware that we will let them know when we are ready for them to visit. They can wash their cups and will be encouraged to help rather than sit there with wet washing piled up around them with a sink full of dishes and bins full to bursting.
Mum is doing well but the demands on her from our new born as well as our 28 month old is huge. Small wonder many new parents end up with PND and I do think many more have it than realise. No signs here but for you new parents out there it's worth a read around the subject to heighten your understanding. It could well be worth it.
Pleased to announce the arrival of our tiny new pit crew member, arrived 21/5/16 weighing in at 5lb 5oz (2.43kg). Wife did great once the epidural was in as the synto drip was tough on gas+air only. 7hrs from induction (small for dates) to delivery - gobsmacked. 24hrs under the supervision of my old colleagues on NICU for blood sugar monitoring and we were home. I now just want sleep.
Its strange but the moment you're dealing with your own, any previous experience/knowledge from my old job just evaporated and my brain went to mush. Hasn't yet come back. What an incredible rush. I'm totally in awe of my wife now as well. Unbelievable.

Another 7 weeks to wait here, wife's bump is getting very big.
It looks like Baby Craik didn't want to wait another 7 weeks - Jen woke me up at 4am because her waters had broken. Now we're now in the maternity ward waiting for something to happen, it looks like we may be here for a while.Another 7 weeks to wait here, wife's bump is getting very big.
We haven't finished the DIY we were doing, hadn't packed the hospital bag, hadn't washed the few baby clothes we'd bought and hadn't bought the car seat etc, as we thought we had at least a few more weeks to play with - please learn from my mistakes and get things ready in plenty of time!
