So been doing whole low carb thing since Jan 4th where I was 100Kg now at end of March I was 85Kg, now end of April I am exactly the same 85.5 with a high of 86 and a low of 84.9 (very rare).

thing is my diet is low carb and has not changed since Jan, an in march I joined the gym I go 3 times a week cardio an weights plus a piliaties session on another night.....no weight loss at all

I am 37 male an 5'11

Upside I feel healthier and I have abiut 1 inch of fat excess rather than handful but still how can my weight not move

If you're weights stalled, you need to do more or reduce your calories. Once in ketosis (if you are) cals in vs cals out still applies- you won't lose weight if you're taking excess/maintenance calories. It becomes exponentially harder to lose fat the lower your body fat gets, it's not something your body want's to do, and it takes some effort. Dropping into the single figures, particularly lower ones, takes a lot of will power.

Yeah it could be that I eat a lot of protien but not all lean, plus protine shakes at the gym, I can usally tell if I am cutting enough carbs due to bathroom habits so to speak, but yeah this month just nothing at all. But when I stand stright stomach looks a lot better than it did in Jan so its not bad just I want to get to 80KG

General question to the Keto fans, would you continue on this diet/way of life if you had any heart problems?

Personally I wouldn't. My cholesterol levels went up VERY high. I would advise a healthy, balanced diet, cutting out as much processed food as possible. Having done keto in the past, I see absolutely no reason to ever go on it again. All in my opinion of course smile

Your opinion matches my experience, keto worked for me in the past, but it was utterly miserable, and not good for my mental health either.

I'm not sure keto diet is a long term prospect, unless for a specific purpose. For otherwise healthy people it's a useful tool to help with weight loss and some of us actually enjoy it.
I'm convinced a comparatively low carb diet is beneficial for all though; I'm aiming for 500-600 cals from carbs, 300-500 cals from protein and the balance from fats. On a workout day, which is intermittent these days, I add about 200 cals carbs.
I'm not a bodybuilder like didelydoo or pvapour, but in decent shape and more importantly to me, fit and healthy.

Just going back to the subject of low carb/no carb diets and all the scare-mongering that surrounds them, I stumbled upon this article earlier while looking for something else. Makes for interesting reading I thought :

Seems like the human body is perfectly happy being fed only meat and fish and doesn't need any fruit or vegies.

Excellent news for me... OH will hate that piece of information.

I keep thinking Im missing out on vital vitamins (I take supplements), etc from not always having green stuff everyday, but if that is not the case then bonus for me.
