Any advice: I always start the day with 35g porridge, homemade almond milk and a handful of blueberries. It keeps me going till lunchtime at least without snacking. Is this a good idea, or is it a too-early carb-boost?

Cheers!
From almost everything I have read, if you want to eat a lot at least once per day, early morning is the best time to do it. It is late evening meals/snacks that can be a problem, but not breakfast.
Thanks. As with everything, the web gives answers that are black, white and whole rainbow of opinions. I always thought if it keeps me going till lunch, even at my 105kg, then I can't be doing anything too bad!

I'm in the 100-105kg range; I'd be eating the desk by 10.30 if I ate that little for breakfast, so you're definitely doing ok!

You cannot be eating what you've said in OP and be hugely fat, there is bugger all there? 6 pints a week is nothing either - is there more than you're letting on?

Cool! Coz I'm a hungry fker! smile Does work though, seemingly a slow-release carb. Also stabilises blood sugar levels, which is good too...

Yep - I have porridge or muesli for breakfast. Porridge will be 50-60g before milk, with a large banana sliced in and a generous handful of blueberries though.
Museli will will be closer to 100g dry plus the same additions.

I now have a protein shake with skimmed milk first (both casein and whey mixed), then either porridge or muesli and then a banana - and then just another shake before training, and one immediately after..

(ETA - I am around 75kg)

Beer is full of sugar.

You don't NEED to drink it.

Avoid white bread, beer, chips, cake and any type of pie you will notice a big difference in three months.

Sod it, eat what you want, who want's to be a miserable bean pole? biggrin

Ok OP 81kg is not bad, no. Perhaps some more working out will give you a bit of tone to work with, at that size you're probably not a mega high bodyfat (I weigh about the same at a similar height and I don't have too much flab, but I probably do more working out).

Jshell - is that a lot? I would use at least 3 sachets of oatsosimple sized portions of porridge for breakfast, one seems to be 37g and is pathetic I was thinking!

Personal choice, but when I'm travelling I use 45g, wet it quite a bit with almond milk and then microwave for 1.40 followed by blube's. That's a full meal as I usually only use 35g, even when cycling 15km to work! 3 x 37 seems a metric st-load, tbh. Is oatsosimple sugar free as I use boggo standard oats...

Again, I'm 105kg and it's truly fine for me. Maybe you've got a super-fast metabolism??

I'm just struggling to see how someone gets to 105kg eating 200 cals or whatever it is of oats?!

I eat a lot as I cycle a lot. But even if I didn't I would need to eat far more than that for breakfast. I have original too from a box but have used the sachets before and easy reference point.

That's only until lunchtime... wink Suppose I must make it up in other ways, but only being home weekends means I possibly go a little overboard then!

The diet may or may not be st - it may not be 100% dedicated, but not exactly 50 stone bloke or the Phelps diet either.

Same goes for the exercise - one man's limited is someone else's plenty.

Then there's the genetic luck element, along with the unknown age card.

OP - stay fat - be a jolly fat guy - die young but happy. Or in pain.

Dribble beer and food on to your chest.
