I think that perhaps some use too short a time frame to see real results. A month is nothing. I usually have goals that are no shorter than 3-6-12 months intervals. 3 months is short term, 6 medium, and 12 medium-long term. The start all over again with new goals, assuming previous goals were reached.

There is now quick and easy fix, more so when you're older as I am (49)
Must admit that I did a similar thing when I was in my thirties and dropped almost a stone in a month; I'm now 41 and I do know that it gets harder as you get older, I do need to lose 2 stone at least, however I am physically quite fit.

It is very disheartening when you try so hard and see so little.

Holiday is booked for the last two weeks in August; maybe I should give myself the three months to see what I can do.

One thing that was shocking was my resting heart rate drop when I stopped drinking and how much it went up when I started again.

The first few weeks and months are the hardest, or at least, they were for me. It does get easier and you stop thinking about missing out on eating too much until it becomes normal.

I do not drink, though - the last time I had any alcohol was a whiskey at Xmas 2014.

I have said before, I always find it amazing at just how little I need to eat, despite weight training 6 times per week (around 8 hours exercise per week). I just make sure every meal is nutrient (especially protein) dense, allowing me to get the most bang for buck, calorie-wise.

Impressive, but I'm guessing that's in conjuction with exercise, rather than just a diet change?

Right as from yesterday I am back on My Fitness Pal; not that my diet is bad anyway, I am going away in three months time from yesterday and am aiming to drop a couple of stone. I weighed myself this morning and I am heavier than I was at the start of January.

I am going to give up booze; which is my downfall, I do drink way too much, until my holiday and if my experience of January is anything to go by when I gave up for a month, I had tons more energy after only a week and I ended up adding 2 decent runs a week to my usual 2 Boot Camps a week.

I took a "before" photo this morning; I won't be posting it up here, however I may do along with an "after" photo, in three months time, if I manage to stick it out.

No alcohol. Tight diet and lots of running.
How much weight did you lose?
