Russell - driving_me_nuts - passed away yesterday, the cause is yet to be established.

Goodbye my dearest friend.
There will never be another like you.
It was a privilege to know you.

That's so sad, one of the nice guys, he'll be missed.

His posts were always enlightening, providing his own particular insight into daily trials and tribulations as well as deeper subjects.

My condolencies in particular to those who knew him on a personal level.

Thank you for breaking the news B rd

It was not something any of us wanted to do.

DMN you drove nobody nuts

You will be missed my friend, we loved you so very much; I hope you knew that

Your compassion touched thousands; all of whom will shed a tear, the Ferryman's river will be a lot deeper now.

Thank you for everything, we shared our darkest moments and I'm happy that we shared our happiest days with each other too smile

The world is a lesser place without you

I'm in utter shock, this is not fair, not fair at all :cry;
xx

Awful news. Russell had been through so much, yet still carried a rare spirit. Goodbye Russ.

Thank you Ali. All our thoughts are with his family.

Though these are dark days everybody who knew Russell will have many wonderful memories.
"The good die young" is such a hackneyed cliche but Russell really was the most beautiful human being I ever met.

I've been a zombie since I heard yesterday, just running on autopilot. Now I've posted this on PH (a place he loved) I cannot stop crying.
We were due to go on a run to Goodwood this coming Saturday. The world has all gone strange.

I cannot but echo Ali's thoughtful post. Russell was a Good Man and one of the very few. I had hoped to meet him one day but now it looks as if I won't. Unless, of course, there really is a 'Heaven' and I qualify too as I am certain he does. I am truly moved almost to tears.

I've cried my eyes out since yesterday. Not for the man I knew. But for the man I didn't. There was so much more I wanted to know about and from him, much he had give and share.

I've shed more than a few tears since getting the call last night, utterly surreal.

Russ was genuinely the nicest bloke I think I've ever known, a top man and a great friend.

He's already sorely missed

Yes, I've written to J separately but please send our love & thoughts

Indeed he was, I only ever heard one bad word said about another person, and he got upset for saying it!

Zombie is the perfect description, I've just had to come home to work as the tears are just rolling down frown

Brad, your friendship meant a hell of a lot to him! He was an amazing guy and people was what he was all about. You were one of those people; as he was/is to you. Short as it may have seemed there is no greater value than can be attached to these last few years you both shared.

Sod Goodwood, lets meet and grab a coffee and celebrate what he was all about?

Russ, you were an amazing chap and influential guy. You were an inspiration to many of us and probably didn't even know it. RIP fella - never forgotten. Go to Lily and be happy for eternity.
