I'm in my late twenties and i've had a raised mole on my scalp for at least the past few years which hasn't really bothered me however I can't help feeling that it's grown ever so slightly bigger recently and whenever you type it into google it of course mentions the big C. Does anyone else have such a thing or should I just get down to the docs pronto?

Straight to the doctor. I had a mole which I ignored for years because it was "just" a mole. In the end it turned a bit funny and I had it checked out. It was a melanoma and I now have an 8 inch scar and permanent(ish) pain.

Book an appointment and get it checked out!

It could be that you're imagining it growing bigger; anyhow just go the the dr and get it checked. It's possible that it could be something like a basal cell carcinoma (BCC). It's basically sun damaged skin that forms a mole - very rarely fatal but can be a bit of a bugger to get rid of. I've got one on the top of my nose just where my sunglasses sit, so it gets quite sore. Get it checked!

I have a raised mole on the back of my head, I often feel it gets slightly bigger sometimes, maybe its just my imagination, I had it checked and it was nothing to worry about, I'm sure yours will be the same but do get it checked.

My missus had a black "blood spot" on her leg which doctor checked out a few years ago, it started growing a little so we had it checked out again and they rushed her though as an "emergency" to get it cut out.

after a few weeks it turned out to be "just a black mole" but better safe than sorry is what I say.

I had that a few years back. It means I've now got at least one thing in common with Hugh Jackman, a skin graft on the side of my nose! smile

a) likely not anything scary BUT b) if it IS anything scary, you want to know immediately, with potentially drastic differences in people's outcomes sometimes caused by even relatively short delays. So go get it looked at, and for good measure maybe be gentle/cautious with it in the meantime too - make sure you won't nick it if you use clippers, make BLOODY sure you don't get sunburn on it etc etc.
