Okay, so I've always had headaches, it runs in the family. I would probably get one per week.

However, since the 5th of June, nearly two months, I've had a pretty much constant headache everyday. I've been to the doctor and she think it's chronic tension and I'm taking amitriptyline, which I don't think is really helping. The headaches are bearable but some days they're worse than others(like today) and it really f**ks me off! Most of the time I can zone out and ignore them but I'm getting to the end of my tether.

I've probably left some important details out but any advise or help would be truly grateful.

Thank you!

I assume you're taking on enough water and your diet is healthy?

That's too much unless you're working in a sauna. I'd suggest cutting down on water to about 2.5 litres a day and see if that helps - one of the first symptoms of water intoxication is headache.

Do me a favour, buy a box of Dioralyte and shove a sachet in your water as directed on the packet for a couple of days?

It'd be such a stupid way to run into problems but that's enough water to theoretically cause some electrolyte wonkiness and it's a beautifully easy fix.

I googled this and it said it was for diarrhoea? laugh

Well, I usually just have a bottle with me which I keep filled, and drink when I'm thirsty, and I've dome this for years so I'm not sure it'd be the cause of a sudden two month headache?

It's rehydration solution, yeah, it is a little sachet of electrolytes to keep you balanced when you're running through a lot of fluid, whether suffering from brown rain or otherwise.

Okay I'll check it out. Where do I get that? Just a normal boots chemist?

Bullst - water has electrolytes in.

Unless he is excessively losing electrolytes by some means hes fine. 4-5ltrs of water a day is ok, what colour is your pee?

See your doctor again, or see a different doctor. Its not the water.

Do you have flat feet?

I had daily headaches until I got my posture sorted out with orthotics.

I was getting constant headaches a few months back. I put it to the fact these days I have to constantly crack my neck which would ease it. Then I remembered I had changed my coffee, still decaf but a new stronger brand, I dumped it and it's been better. Have you changed anything like this food wise?

I still took a headache once a week then as a crazy person heard about daith piercing which can perhaps help and gave that a try laugh not had once since tbh.

Another shout out for a daith piercing. I don't have one, just a friend who has, and no longer gets headaches.

I was on a diet program, 800 calories a day of milkshakes and controlled meals. I stopped this at end of May

Think this might be it?

800 a day? That's pretty intense.

I get the impression it might be a sinus headache? Maybe? My teeth and cheeks ache a lot recently with headaches.
