Listen, are you to blame for anything to happen in your life? Or is everything conspiring against you the fault of your father and/or childhood?!

I'm beginning to wonder if your negative outlook adversely affect your relationships with others.

You sound bitter and perhaps your determination to fight for money that isn't legally yours might not be conducive to your mental well-being.

In the months since creating this thread, I'm beginning to see a pattern from you that doesn't necessarily reflect positively on your character.

Ok, you were dealt a bad hand but I see no real effort from you to change your outlook on life. Until this happens, you're always going to blame your father and your childhood.

And stop looking at other people's successes with envy!

In the space of 2 or 3 months OP has:

Been threatened with violence in a road rage incident;
Got into a fight outside of a cinema and ended up in a&e (and the police blamed him for the incident);
Had his car vandalised on several occasions at school;
Had his locker vandalised at school;
Repeated been bullied by his boss and colleagues;
Been knocked on his arse at the airport by a baggage trolley - back to a&e and ends up with a broken elbow;
Lost his father;
Been disinherited by his father in favour of his ex-wife and ex-MIL;
Been burgled a couple of days before Xmas.

WTF!!!

I think I'll bow out from this thread but Merry Xmas OP and I hope 2017 is better for you than 2016 was.

I stumbled on this thread randomly and skipped from page 1 to here.

From the list above it sounds like your life is good.

1 thing I have noticed, you don't have a partner, maybe it would be nice to share all those things you have with someone else.

To be honest if someone has read the above without knowing you better they might even be jealous of your life, that's how good it sounds.

I hope you don't take it the wrong way.

Yes, now we are talking.

AndStilliRise is something Lewis Hamilton has been instilled with. I believe that when he was having a hard day or a bad race his dad would tell him to keep it all positive and it WILL work out.

I had to adopt change at various stages of my life. At one point I was a pay-check employee. I would sit at my desk wondering why people were getting on more than me, why they were getting paid more than me and that there must be something wrong with the colour of my skin.

And then I realized that the people with the bigger paychecks were also the people with the more positive, can do attitudes. The people who wanted the difficult, hard things to do rather than just cruise through life. My attitude changed, I started enjoying work again, my pay packet increased and I became a much more positive person. The change then replicated through my wife and children. At the same time as this people I know such as my close family continue being pay-check employees/business men and now look at me and my family with questions of how we seem to be so successful so easily.

Success brings success.

PS: I am not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs or anything but the above was for my benefit as well as anyone else.

Merry Christmas everyone.

They say that bad things always happen in 'threes' and so it is......

1. Bad news number one, yesterday I received in my letter box the new employment contract from the school. New director means new contracts. Say hello to a reduced salary+every teacher is expected to write termly progress reports for every student, on top of the termly school reports. Another hoop to jump through,

2. Bad news number two, the estimated cost of fighting the will will be several months salary.
I can't get legal aid. It appears I'm too well off!!!

3. Bad news number three, yesterday afternoon i went to the gym for the first time in ages. On the way home I stopped off at the local supermarket to get some grocceries. As i was pushing my trolley back to my car a car came racing down the lane and i literally had to jump out of the way as the driver lost control ( a Nissan 200 driven by a young lady). The car rammed my trolley, came to a stop, then quickly accelerated away.

Two couples saw the accident but calmly walked off , leaving me rolling on the ground clutching my knee in agony!!!!

The only person who helped me was a teenage lad who looked after me whilst at least a dozen other customers nonchalantly walked past not even giving' the scene a second glance!!!

What is fkin wrong with people these days?

I´m absolutely pissed off ( excuses for the language) since this is the second time in the space of a couple of months I've been involved in an accident in a public place and people present just walked past like nothing had happened!!!!

Health wise I'm now suffering from a severely dislocated knee, 2 cracked ribs, severe bruising on my legs and ligament damage!!

There is no CCTV covering the car park and the police have already decided that there's virtually no chance of catching the culprit!!

Oh, and by the way no one from the supermarket bothered to come out and see what the fuss was all about outside!!!!

So it's a happy New Year to me!!!

In all my life I don't think I've ever had a spate of bad luck like I've had in 2016!!!!

Fingers crossed that my run of bad luck ( or things just happening !) turns in 2017!!!!

Firstly, I'd like to wish everyone a happy New Year.
I hope that all your dreams come true and you win the lotto, buy that Ferrari, marry the woman /man of your dreams...... etc, etc,,etc.

No , let's forget all that cliched stuff!!!
What I really want is for us all to have a better 2016 than 2017 in whatever little way that may be!

Put the simple things first. Take a few moments every morning to look out of your window and tell yourself that your life might not be perfect, but it's probably better than a lot of people on this planet!

Smile instead of swear when you spill your cup of morning tea, laugh instead of shout when your kid tells you they've got a bloody huge phone bill, and crack a joke when the boss says you're wirking late this evening!

Here endeth the lesson!!!

2017 man. One day at a time, one task at a time.

I am sure if you asked a number of people the worst things which have happened I think you will find that you, me, phers, have not suffered that much in comparison.

Just try and look for the positives in every situation and turn negatives into positives. Just like this guy:

I've skim read most of this thread and my heart goes out to you. In fact, it has prompted me to post when I normally wouldn't. I get a real sense that you are unhappy and have been for a while. If I could help you more I would, but all I can really offer is this:

Stop making things up/exaggerating/misinterpreting

It is only prolonging the process you need to go through and reinforces your victim mentality. Understand that it is OK to be unhappy without there having to be a series of dramas behind it. The support you are getting from here is great but wouldn't it be so much better if it was for you rather than this odd internet persona you have created? Have faith that if you reached out and were honest the support would still be there.

I'm very happy to explain in more detail via PM.

Best of luck for 2017

I still can't decide which.
