Car not starting again...

Hi all,
I recently had trouble with the Griffith whilst in Le mans, where it was failing to start,
Its just got delivered to me yesterday morning from the local garage, were the problem was a damaged starter motor apparently, intimate for the nice weather, I had one great run out yesterday.
Ive just tried to start it now, and the stater motor is fine, but now the engines not firing! after doing the immobiliser, and turning the key to the first position, the fuel pump doesn't prime. It seemed fine on the drive yesterday. Starting to test my patience this car now......
Could this be immobiliser related?

It could be.
When you turn the ignition on you should hear a click as the relay closes followed by the whine of the fuel pump. It will only run for a few seconds then stop until the engine is running.
The relays are loose in the loom in the passenger footwell, there are a pair of metal cased relays. One is the fuel pump the other is the ECU. Worth checking they haven't been disturbed. You could try swapping them over but that might just transfer the problem to the other circuit but it might at least help diagnose the problem.
Also check the connectors in the void behind the passenger door. There is a flap of carpet behind the seat which gives access to the lock and also to the wires that run from the front to the back of the car.
You could also check the connections on the fuel pump which are exposed to the elements and can cause problems.
Try running a direct wire from the batter positive to the fuel pump and see if the pump runs at all.

Certainly doesn't seem to be any fuel pump noise, I is a click afterwards though when I pop music head in to the footwell,
I shall have a check regarding the relays too, we live down quite a bumpy Lane so they couid have been disturbed that way, will move them around and see.
Something must have happened in between the last drive and parking it up..

I had a non starting issue a while ago; checked relays, swapped them round, etc. and then noted that the immobiliser was still flashing. Turned out to be the immobiliser on the way out. Apparently as many TVRs get parked over the winter, often with battery conditioners attached, the relays inside the immobiliser are then held in the closed/open position for ages which over a period of years is not the best for them. Eventually they can stick on occasion sometimes being freed by disconnecting the battery and leaving overnight for the alarm battery to run down and then connecting again. That didn't work for my car but the relays did free up after a few days and repeated attempts - now got a new immobiliser fitted.
Clearly the above might not be your problem but then you never know and I certainly hadn't thought about it when I was going through the likely causes even though I'd had a couple of unexplained non starts over the previous months which I'd put down to relays but not sorted, so worth checking that.
Good luck with getting it fixed though - it is so annoying when it doesn't start.

Not all cars have the fuel pump circuit immobilised mine with the original Meta alarm/immobiliser certainly is not imobilised. This may help:
