Really depressed

Stick in there Ron
If the nhs/gp's dick you around regarding counselling/therapy get it somehow, I found the quacks loath to give you the help you need or even admit you need it instead prefering to demean/belittle you - I wasted several years of my life in a very dark place, basically believing my destiny was to end myself (lots of family history) before getting myself back on track, which was with the help of a psychotherapist.
I can tell you now its all kinds of fked up but I did believe that ending myself would be a decent and honourble thing to do. Those who call it cowardly have no idea, no fking clue at all. But its an illness or dysfunction like the flu or a broken leg, a bit thats wrong that can be fixed, but no lies, you need to work at getting better, you need to fight it, but it can be done.

Sounds like a fun day out!
Yep its important you get your sleep/wake cycle back on track, depression does a whole lot of things yo your body including making you feel tired etc, its not just psychological.
Getting your sleep patterns back will help, and for that you need yo be out in the daytime/daylight esp in green spaces ( a key for resetting jetlag also) , so get out for daytime walks in the park etc.

Love the photo! So I managed to stay awake till 9 (that's a big part of wanting to change my routine) and although I'm awake now , feel quite enigised , in fact I've found my cv and will be updating tomorrow
I have helped many people with CV's on here and have developed a very good template over the years. If you want me to have a look over yours and offer feedback or to send you the template just drop me a message.Robster said:

That's ace. Try and get going for proper kip in a bit - it'd be easy, having snoozed earlier, to stay up til 4 again (I keep doing that to myself and then cursing it) - don't! Break the cycle, at least allow yourself the chance of a good night's sleep, and get yourself going a little in the morning.
Good stuff Rob, great to hear you being so positive. Trying to sort out the routine is a great step, seems you have a good local support network there and a wider support network on here all wishing you well and wanting to help if we can at all.
Sleep well Rob and we'll chat you tomorrow.
