Hey Rob whats up? I guess the thing with repression is there doesnt need to be a reason why you are down but talking helps.

Morning Rob,

Sorry you aint doing so well today. Did you manage to get out for a walk in the amazing weather yesterday?

Sorry you have to fight off cash thoughts as well, that is something you don't need now! - Head down searching / walking into places might focus the mind and get it off darker thoughts?

On another note, have you been for a high energy run or something recently? - getting a good work-out helps some people, be it a run, gym, swim.

Hey Rob, how's it going this morning? I had a mad busy day yesterday, Merseyside boccia tournament so an unpleasantly early start and a bit of a rushed drive as the van has decided to celebrate the arrival of cooler weather by throwing a flat battery at me banghead - good job the RAC aren't too busy at 0830 on a Sunday morning! Nice small competition this time, 6 in my classification (it's usually closer to 10, if not more) so just 2 pools, and 2 pool matches - then semis and the final for those that went through - for each player. And then a BIG surprise - I only bloody won! Beating a member of the Welsh national squad in the process, he was astonished and frankly so was I. woohoo

If you're not well enough to go back into work yet, then it might be time to talk to the doctor about benefits and things a bit. Very personal decision I know, but it might alleviate that fear, at least. It wouldn't be unreasonable to need longer - it's not many days ago that you were really very poorly, after all.

'Morning Rob, how are you feeling today? I managed a five mile walk yesterday and apart from sore toes, I survived it quite well. I saw a kingfisher on the river and a '70s Dodge Charger on the road - cool bird, cool car!

Don't let financial worries overwhelm you, get some advice. Try Citizen's Advice:

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/how-we-...

or your GP or social services (don't feel too proud to ask!) Do you have a mortgage? If so, your lender may be able to give you a 'holiday' so you pay interest only for a few months.

Have a good day.

How has this situation come about? I may have missed it and sorry if that is the case. I thought you were signed off from work? Is this a reference to moving from employer based sick pay to statutory sick pay or is it a reference to the fact your current employer is dismissing you? These are vastly different situations and advice is difficult to give without being on solid ground with the facts.

Hi guys thanks for listening , was a low one for me yesterday, guess I need to acknowledge these are going to happen, regarding job I'm signed off, don't think the next pay packet in 3 weeks is going to cover my rent , bills etc

As tempting as they are please just stay away from the loan sharks, the ones that advertise lots and have a the tiny writing of the interest rate along the bottom.

You may be struggling a bit financially now, but you are no doubt a lot better off than a ton of others out there who are taking out another credit card to pay back the previous one, whilst keeping the minimum payments on other loans.

Having said the above, I did take out a new credit card and enjoyed 9 months of not having to pay it off, but then struggled a bit at the end when I did pay everything back.

Hope you have done some physical exercise today, I find it helps with getting me to sleep, though I fully admit you have a lot going on in your mind.

I found money saving expert a good site to wander through and look for financial help.

All the best!

OK so I take it you are on statutory sick pay. Do the following immediately -

Contact the council and apply for housing benefit to cover your rent

At the same time make them aware that you wish to claim council tax benefit too which will reduce that

Speak to your local CAB as you may be able to claim income support

Go here - https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Find-Benefits-Grants and fill it in honestly and it will tell you what else you can claim

Speak to your gas and electricity provider and they will allow you to make "basic payments" for a few months with no interest charged

Hi Rob,

Great advise above^ it'll be worth the phone call to get it sorted out. I've been dealing with debt for some time, I've had to contact Royal British Legion for help this month, no my proudest moment. Keep your chin up mate!

Housing benefit would pay for your room arrangement. I am sure your ex would be understanding that you are out of work too if it is a mutual agreement. Now is a time to remember "if you dont ask you dont get"

Evening Rob, just trying to settle down for the night - still working on the 'sleep hygiene' thing - wishing you a peaceful night, I know anxiety in the wee hours can be especially tough. There's a few good David Attenborough nature documentaries on BBC iPlayer at the moment if you find you need something to fill a gap. There's a couple of physics/astronomy ones too - arguably 'safer' in terms of not ambushing you with emotional stuff, but a little impenetrable for me! I'm gonna stick one of the latter on when I try to kip, maybe I'll learn something… here's hoping for some decent kip all round. Have a good one.
