Please do keep posting Rob, warts and all.

Most importantly that means many good people here can help.

Secondly do not underestimate how strong you actually are to have been so open and honest. That takes a very brave man. You have my, and I suspect many others respect.

Keep it up and I wish you well.

P.S. Eat something (anything!) and take in a bit of exercise... just a brisk walk will do. You will feel better for it!

Of all the needs humans require for survival, food must top the list along with water. There's nothing stupid about spending on food. Everything else is secondary.

Always post, better to get it out in the open, gets you offers of help if you need or want them (and it's FINE to not want them, saying "today sucked" does not oblige you to let someone into your life to help if that doesn't actually feel like it'd be helpful) and gives you a kind of historical record of how things have been too.

The thing about money stuff, mental health stuff, work, benefits, all of it…

…is it all means feck all if you crock your physical body out first by not supplying it with sufficient fluids and fuel!

Gotta keep you ticking to give you time to recover from your depression is the bottom line. And to keep you in a state where you can enjoy the better days in the mean time, too.

Rob,

You can make a decent filling meal for less than a couple of quid if you use your imagination.

Best sirloin steak can wait for another day.

You need to force yourself to eat at regular intervals, try to avoid junk food.

A friend of mine killed himself today. No outward signs of worrying about anything. He hadn't mentioned anything to anyone. He seemed happy. And now he's gone. Please, if you are having problems or worrying about stuff just talk to someone. There's always a way to sort things out.
I'm so sorry to hear that
I've seen a lot of posts on social media today along the lines of "why didn't he ring me", "he never said anything", "he helped me when I was having a bad time, I feel so bad that I couldn't help him".

So don't be feeling ashamed of posting things on here. And get some food and fluid inside you. If you don't we'll find out where you live again and order 300 takeaways for you wink

Rob keep posting mate, if nothing else it may help you get things off your chest and lighten the load on you. Make sure you eat and drink well though pal, not looking after yourself will only make you feel worse. Keep strong, things will get better!

There's an offer you can't refuse, Rob!

Thanks HM, if I wasn't 170 miles away I'd be knocking on Rob's door myself.

I've been through this loop with someone with an eating disorder, not eating will actually make your mental state worse. The brain needs fuel to function properly. Even cheap calories are better than none smile

A virtual bunch of flowers for Mrs HM, really thoughtful. Good you're thinking of sorting out benefits Rob - and here, have a tissue for that dust in your eyes.

Hi Rob, how you been today? I just got in after hitting my walk target of 10,000 paces so, despite aching feet and legs, I feel I've really achieved something - you will too tomorrow after sorting stuff out with your landlady's help. All the best.

Morning!

Hope you are up and about, just running a vacuum around can get a small sense of achievement in with me sometimes, then I can face the next small task, and so on!

Hope you had a better weekend!

Thank you to Happy Midget as well!
