Don't apologise, it's actually massively reassuring to hear from you even if I'm in no state to join in. Although this morning - up bright (ha, it's still dark) and early to drive to Sheffield for training - I'm doing okay myself.

How about you, how's your weekend going?

'Morning Rob, good to see you're OK. I haven't posted lately as I can see there are others with personal experience who are helping you - and you them. It's good to see that in 'Health Matters' there are sincere people willing and able to offer genuine help and support, I was dismayed to find an idiot trolling here earlier in the week. All the best.

Just back from a weekend away, hope everyone had a good time.

I find a walk clears the head, but everyone is different. Forgot my camera, one of the people I was walking with took this pic on her phone, so apologies about the pic, but just being up there helped de-stress and focus the mind a bit.

Morning all, so update so far : finally spoken to work, they couldn't of been nicer and are coming to do a home visit, they said it's not about work but I'm part of the family, no way I could of spoken to them a week or so ago, doctor has been very supportive which is also helping. Cbt is really helping me, the best way to explain it for me is that it's treating the brain like a muscle, and the more your exercise it (eg good thoughts, right decisions) the easier it is to maintain good habits, of course there's good and bad days but definitely progress for me smile.

One last thought I had this morning, might sound strange but I was reminded of the film sliding doors, that each decision has a consequence, do I go for a walk or stay in bed, do I make that phone call or ignore it, do I eat healthy or have that pizza, (healthy body healthy mind another thing I'm learning)I hope that kinda makes sense I'm finding it useful to think of all the good things that can happen when I make the right decisions, oh and Btw the odd pizza is fine!

Thanks for all the support and asking about me smile always appreciated and keeps me going

Morning, Well that is great that your work was fine and nice about it all sounds like they really care as want to actually see you. The doctor support is great I switched doctors and this one is fantastic ( I find it makes a difference).

I to at counselling am taught things like good thoughts, positive days etc. Progress is good even with the odd bad days mate. If it helps you think that way by looking at good things with right decisions then again its all good.

Well done for posting Rob, I like the sliding doors thing- so true.

Looks like you've got what you need to move forward now. I'm glad to see the difference from a couple of months ago.

Don't forget, open invitation if you need a change

Good tnx Rob , great to see you getting things sorted out , genuinely chuffed for you . We're into the minus temps now and will soon be up to our arses in snow but that's not all bad , from + 40c to -40c tends to give us dramatically different lifestyles and challenges each season .So long as the sun is shining being outside when it's minus stupid degrees isn't too bad , the snot in your nose freezes instantly and the liquid on your eyeballs can quickly follow suit , and then we have the windchill factor on top which I've seen equate to -56c , not much works at those temps . Would I move? hell no .
Regularly check on here Rob , you're not on your own .

Love it when things are cold!

Regularly go camping in -10 -15 conditions here in NZ in winter, or spend the weekends up a mountain somewhere.
