Hi guys and gals , just wanted to update this thread, well the very good news is l... im into my third day of my new job!
Complete change of direction for me as I now work for Citroen as a salesman, I love selling, I love cars and hopefully the money potential will be very useful!
A mutual friend recommended me and I felt the interview went well and it did !
I'm still using the techniques I learnt from cbt, I'm finding it's easy to take things personally at work, so I'm learning to have a tough skin and realise I'm not responsible for other people's actions!
Next thing is to see my kids more and more which I'm working towards with my ex.
I can't believe things are on the up and I'm so grateful for everyone's support on this thread, wish I could meet you all and buy you a pint or 3 !

Great news to hear mate , very glad things are going on a up for you. Hi all,, hope everybody is well,
well over due for an update, hope you don't mind,
so job is going great I absolutely love it, love having a posh car to drive home (currently ds3 cabriolet 1.2 turbo with all the toys)
lots of strong characters at work which previously would of crushed me, but find it all quite 'normal',
I get on really well with my boss and even sold my first car !
! ,lots to learn and long hours but I have my life back !
Working on seeing my kids more too..,
I've learnt so much and have learnt the danger signs of what to look out for that may cause me harm, e.g. Not eating or sleeping properly, will never take things for granted again and fully aware I need to guard against the 'black dog'
Learning also to not feel guilty about being happy if that makes sense.
Please don't forgot I couldn't of done any of this with out the support of you guys and girls on here , will never ever forget what you have done for me ! Rob

So good to see that you've got on top of things again Rob. Make sure you find time to socialise with your friends as well as keeping busy at work. As you've found out the hard way, it's all about balance and you can never get it quite right. We're all like that really.
See you in July, you don't need to bring anything. Just come along for some food and beer ( or gin, i have lots) and stay over if you want to. Always lots going on and you will love it.

Just goes to show how the wrong job can have such a major impact. That's one of the reasons I often offer my employment preparation services for free to people who were in your position. It's great to see them come out the other side and that's worth more than a couple of hundred quid. Don't forget to keep it all up to date Rob so you are ready for your next move when you want it. Been out loads more and have organised Friday night drinks at work
