The wife of a good mate from college has been struggling with depression. I just messaged him to ask if he as a particular app for his combine and he replies to say his wife had taken a turn for the worse, tried to take her own life several times and was nearly successful before Christmas, now has moved out and living with a homeless alcoholic. fk.

Any hints and tips I can pass onto him, it's a bit beyond my pay grade and level of expertise.

Hi all , just checking in, how is everyone? Some good news I have found the most amazing woman after 3.5 years so there is light at the end of the tunnel smile interesting being in a relationship again , can bring up some old memories etc , but the positives using the skills I have learnt over the last few years has helped with anxiety and helped me to talk through any worries , not sure if this sounds strange but I really think being with the right person makes all the difference! Anyway enough about me over to you...

Far from ideal.

Is she an Alcoholic herself ? I'm thinking a call to AA may be a good starting point maybe

hi...

incase still relevant, potentially your friend could seek a section 135 from a magistrate, as found under the MHA - if there is sufficient grounds to do so?
