Melatonin, 3mg.

Not readily available ie you can't buy it from any shops in the UK but easily available online.
When travelling between countries (1/2 a month) I use this and chamomile tea on a night, never fails.

(I had insomnia for 4/5 years, now I get to sleep by doing as other people said, remembering a story and visualising it or a relaxed time and visualising that)

I have tried zopiclone and whilst good it made me feel drained the next day, probably too much sleep.

Melatonin is a powerful hormone and should be used sparingly if at all.

Sorry, I don't agree. I've been using it for 20 odd years, not continuously but for the majority of the time and when I don't take it I don't have insomnia, it just takes a while longer to fall asleep. My sleep I feel is better on Melatonin. There are many more benefits listed for taking it, anti-aging is one. Maybe that's helped.

I'm 45 but I look 44. wink

3 mg is my dosage, you do not need to take any more if that doesn't work. Maybe less would work too but most bottles come in 3mg sizes.

I'm a circa 20 year empirical experiment on Melatonin use and I have/had none of the listed possible side-effects.

That's just my opinion although based on practical experience.

Why do you think it should be used sparingly if at all?
