Colestyramine or Questran twice a day. It changed my life! Easy fix matey!
Right then.

Persuaded the doctors surgery (via the receptionist only!) to prescribe me some Cholestyramine powder. About to spend 3 weeks in India and i don't intend to permanently disable the plane toilet every time they feed me, nor have to eat in the hotel every night so i'm not far from a WC.

Hopefully it'll sort me out!

I have never tested the efficacy of Colestyramine in India or Sri Lanka but have done so in Marrakech. It worked fine for me but I cannot be sure about India. I think most people get some sort of Delhi Belly there; the idea is just to eat sensibly. I am pretty sure that spicy food is not ideal for those who have had their gall bladder removed but I went out for a curry yesterday so can't really talk! I am sure that if you avoid chicken and go more for vegetarian options and bottled water (with the seal still in tact!) then you'll be fine. Go for it and let us know the corollary!
