Probably. She knows how to guilt me into it. Need to grow some balls and get laid elsewhere to get my mind off it
So you admit you have a problem, but won't fix it by never speaking to her again. When you do finally get some from another bird be careful you don't cry midway through. :-)

Okay, it was going okay, things were getting back to normal but she keeps changing her mind again so I told her I'm going away for a while, that didn't go down well.

This is now, couldn't face that for the next 50 years.Just waiting for all the told you so comments...
Respect to PH95 for keeping us all updated on the situation - most others would have stormed off in a huff by now at all the piss-taking . In the interests of balance, while we all take the piss it's only because we did exactly the same thing ourselves, ignoring the sage advice of own friends and family, convincing ourselves that they were most definitely wrong and ploughed on regardless. I expect you will end up treading the same beaten path and meet your eventual fate the same way we did . It's easy for us to sit here shouting END IT NOW!!11 but it was nigh on impossible to do back then and isn't any different now.
So what's your plan for Christmas, PH95? Disappointingly I've not managed to find your 3ft teddy bear or Tiffany ring thingy on Ebay so does that mean you're still pressing ahead to woo her back with expensive gifts?

Plan for Christmas is/was to spend it with her on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then both of us to go down to my family for a couple of days after. The plan now I have no idea...So what's your plan for Christmas, PH95? Check the "Christmas day and single" thread. My entry - Porsche, mid-Wales mountain roads, Ginster's 'Festive Edition', pack of mince pies and a bottle of Dr. Pepper.
Spent 6 hours out driving. Had my 'Christmas dinner' on the seafront at Aberystwyth, drove home, made a slow roast shoulder of lamb with Boulangere veg. and pickled myself on Gluhwein.
