Not giving up on carbs yet, have rice or potatoes and even pasta most days. Just given up on the fat.
Absolutely well done on your loss. Find what works for you and stick with it. My only word of caution would be about cutting out your fats. Personally I'd not feel comfortable cutting out fats when they're an incredibly important part of your diet.MHB said:
Now at 93.6 after 2 weeks - so continuing in the right direction. Dry January and increasing the daily calorie target on Apple Watch seem to be working.
Hope everyone else makes progress this week.

Hi MHB - Sorry you appear to have slipped through my net! What did you start at?Hope everyone else makes progress this week.

101.7 for me.
A tricky week away with work for me.
First few days were OK, but lack of choice for dinner options plus copious amounts of red wine and a big company meal on Friday night meant it was never going to be the best of weeks.
Looking forward to another week of progress now.

More than a little miffed off over the weekend. It appears my end of first week weigh in at 108.8 must have been inaccurate on the scales since I weighed in at exactly the same as last week on my first try, then 109.9kg at my second, third and fourth tries on Saturday (3.5lb gain in one week is completely unrealistic given I've tracked all of my macros, calories and hit all of my workouts).
I've had my suspicious regarding that set of scales in the past so I used it as an opportunity to go out and buy a new set. Those put at at 109.9 Saturday, followed by 109.0 this morning (which seems more realistic).
Annoying but looking at other indicators:
I've gone down a belt hole on both my normal trouser belt and my weightlifting belt
T-Shirts are feeling much better and I'm feeling less bloated
I'm still performing well in my lifts / gym routine despite restricted carbs and calories intake
Well done all.

Not moving from 100kg. Has anyone tried some of those appetitie suppressants? That I think is my problem: snacking...
Stop snacking then.Afternoon folks A bit late to the party, but I'm in.
I've been in the US since 18th December, a road trip of beer and BBQ food Landed back in the UK on Friday AM, and stepped on the scales Saturday. 19st 7lb. Not the heaviest I've been, but it needs to come down.
So that is 123.8kg as my starting weight. Let's crack on.

Working nights since Saturday which for me means I don't eat properly, tend to have one or two meals a day. Just weighed myself, 88.6kg.
A mate has entered me in a Tough Mudder in either June or July which despite my reluctance to do it gives me something to aim for weight and fitness wise.

Well done everyone. Just been questioned why mu lunch was the size of a pack of crisps!
Some key points:
1) It is good to be hungry
2) We are not going to suffer from eating less
3) Drink more water
4) Going to bed hungry is more positive than going with full stomach
5) Being hungry is good, it means you are not adding weight
6) Try to eat to 75% of your stomach, leave some room for some water and to help your digestive system
7) Women like healthy men
8) Women like wheepspins and loud stereos
9) Being attractive is good for self esteem, well being and the wife (keeps her on her toes)
10) Yes it is hard, but so is everything else
11) Yes it does hurt but it is more mental than physical.
...and waits to be berated...

2) We are not going to suffer from eating less true within reason
3) Drink more water agreed
4) Going to bed hungry is more positive than going with full stomach define positive?
5) Being hungry is good, it means you are not adding weight true, but health cannot be boiled down to weight alone
6) Try to eat to 75% of your stomach, leave some room for some water and to help your digestive system fair argument
7) Women like healthy men they do
8) Women like wheepspins and loud stereos the best ones need more impressing than that - also a shade off topic!
9) Being attractive is good for self esteem, well being and the wife (keeps her on her toes) true, true and I bet she loves that....
10) Yes it is hard, but so is everything else yep
11) Yes it does hurt but it is more mental than physical yep - but it can be done pain free .

Some key points:
1) It is good to be hungry - Its good to know the feeling of hunger although if eating to a structured plan (little and often) you should'nt be feeling properly hungry
2) We are not going to suffer from eating less - Agreed, the bigger risk is from eating more
3) Drink more water - Also agreed, good appetite suppresant and aids digestion
4) Going to bed hungry is more positive than going with full stomach - Disagree, sleep is prime time for recovery, I would argue having food and nutrients available for that process is better
5) Being hungry is good, it means you are not adding weight - 'At that time' theres always a risk of overeating from being hungry and actually adding weight....
6) Try to eat to 75% of your stomach, leave some room for some water and to help your digestive system - Agreed
7) Women like healthy men - Cant argue this
8) Women like wheepspins and loud stereos
9) Being attractive is good for self esteem, well being and the wife (keeps her on her toes)
10) Yes it is hard, but so is everything else
11) Yes it does hurt but it is more mental than physical.
