Guys

I will leave a fully up dated table on page 1 so you know where to look for the latest and will update during the thread as we go as well if anyone wants a track record.

to keep it simple I will try and update it every week rather than daily - this way we also see some decent consistent drops rather than fluctuation.

Please feel free to post weight in the mean time - but aside from new members and those who have yet to add a starting weight, I will be updating the table for individuals once every 7 days (I am not going to demand updates on the 7th/14th etc - but would be nice if everyone manages to get something in around then - for mutual support/light competition.

Next update 7th.

Good man, thanks for this. Can we make it a little more interesting, by adding a percentage achieved (Actual weight/Target weight) so that we can see who is loosing the most. We can then have a weekly winner? Not that i am competitive smile !

ETA: Just noticed the percentage column, would it be easy to sort it in order or am i asking for too much?

Personally I don't think that would be a wise idea, to include a weekly competition. Slow and steady wins the race.

- whilst I am with mcelliot on this one broadly, so would prefer to keep the whole thing as a straight 3 month run - it is easy enough to sort out on a week by week basis and put it in whatever order people want.

Though surely you are going to start going through lopping limbs off if you want to lose a lot?! You are the lightest here by a clear 33% on the next group!

97.3kg.

Meaning i've put on 6kg over the christmas fortnight.

Is that even possible! Thats a lot of wine and beer. and celebrations. and pringles. and roses. and nuts. and thai rice crackers. and mince pies. and smarties. and chocolate coins. and crisps. and cheese. and trifle. and christmas dinner. and curry take-out. and pizza. and stuff i can't remember.

fk. let myself go over christmas - had lost just over 6kg in the run up to christmas.

I'm in...

Currently 95kg
Target is 85kg

1 month of business travel then 1 month of Christmas festivities have made the number go up.
Made it to the Gym this evening and had the weigh in.

Also - Going for Dry January and giving up a very small Cig habit at the end of this packet.
Not too much of a challenge then.

It's pointless spending money to take weight out of the Mustang when I'm contributing an extra 10kg to the total, should help the track days this year.

That's my logic too! It's all very well spending money on racing seats for the hill climb car when I am 15 kg north of proper!

Also well done Tin Robot - early leader in the club house. I am on half a pound so far!

Cycles to the satiation today. A LONG way from
The heady days of 20 mph averages - 15 mph, weak as a kitten and dark, cold and lonely.

At least I was out there I suppose. Off for a run tomorrow and all....

I'll play. Starting at 79kg. Target 70kg.

After a tough Q4 meant lots of comfort eating I blew up from 75kg to 79kg and have really noticed it in my face, tightness in clothes etc. Really ticked over a threshold...

Last year I was always thinking of considering trying to begin to start aiming to lose weight. Time to start doing it.

Thought I'd give that Lean in 15 book a go, mainly for the food side as I'm pretty active anyway but my diet is shocking at times and as we all know, it starts and finishes in the kitchen.

Possible, but unlikely, you would need, based on the nominal 3500 calories per pound of fat to have eaten, in addition to your maintenance calories, not seen your weight but lets say 2500 as the baseline figure for the average chap, another 3300 calories per day for 2 weeks, so just shy of 6000 calories per day.

6000 calories is a hell of a lot of food, possible but not sure most mortals who arent The Rock or whatever could do it every day for 14 days.

You may have just, like me, put say 3 or 4 pounds on but are about to do a st that will be a danger to shipping biggrin

What the hell, I'm in.

Didn't have a massive xmas so not carrying the festive excess, just standard excess smile
On 1st was 10st11 so 68.5kg.
Aiming for 10st5, so 65.7kg.

Generally meet the weekly step target on the fitbit, but hopefully cutting out snacks, and cycling more will do something...

After noticing my aiming weight was more than my starting weight (f'ing google) amended weights correctly...

There is fair bit which is fat I am afraid, which is proving difficult to shed. It does seem that the less fat you have the more difficult it is too harvest it (maybe because it has been there the longest!).

Did have a cheeky weigh in yesterday.

There's no 'im afraid' about it - you are sill 30 kg ahead of me - and I'm only a couple of inches taller than you!

I assume you are going for definition and all of that caper?

I am trying to get lighter so i can run faster. As stupid as it sounds. What I have done is I have compared myself to a TDF rider or professional runner in terms of build and height and understood that to be limit of what is achievable in terms of maximum power to minimum weight.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?espv=2&biw=955...

Nairo Quintana is 58kg and about the same height, however he is a professional rider were i am an amateur. So I can understand what the peak would look and what the minimum weight is i can ever dream of possibly being. Does this make sense? This is an extreme example BTW. smile

Fair enough - if that's your bag! Bear in mind Nairo Quintana also looks 80 years old though...... (though he quite literally had a hard paper route)

Thanks to all other entrants - I will update the table tonight

I did serioulsy indulge over christmas. Booze every day. Croissants/pain au chocolat for breakfast most days.

Someone said to me in the office today that I look like i had an indulgent christmas. So its real eek

I'll weigh again tonight to double check, but it looks like 6.7kg increase between 16th Dec and 3rd Jan. Yoinkers.

Yes mate a lot will be water you haven't gained 6kg of fat. FYI I'm 8.6kg up but I was very low carb before xmas.
