Dammit,

Weigh in today at 100.1kg. Yesterday i was 99.6kg

Must start being more active now the evenings are lighter.
You can easily change that much in weight - it's a fluctuation, not a failing.

Weigh yourself once a week, ideally at the same time of the day.

I weigh myself daily as I find it keeps me on track, if I go down that is motivational and if it goes up, so is that.

I know it will fluctuate and it takes time, a 3 to 4 stone loss doesnt happen in a month, it has taken 20 years to gain, pound by pound day by day, dig in for the long haul.

I am actually quite enjoying it, on a super lean day today, only had a portion of Spag Bol for lunch, cycled in, cycling home, just trying to vary what I do as that is what seems to stimulate movement.

Oh and mirrors, lots of posing in mirrors biggrin

Still loads to do though

That's fair, if it works for you. As long as you don't see an increase as a 'failure'.

Like you, I always enjoy dropping weight. More energetic in the main (as long as you get enough sleep), and things are much easier when you're lighter. Your clothes fitting are a decent bonus, too.

I just tried this running thing, weirdly enjoyed it, only a mile or so but found it to be tolerable.

Did a good session at the gym, have abandoned the cross trainer and am solely doing strength stuff now in the gym, will consider my daily dog walk and riding to work as my cardio aspect.

Bought some nice New tops, in XL instead of XXL, bought 400 quids worth of xxl stuff before I started, still fits but to big really, I am now bulkier in the back and shoulders, any suggestions of clothing lines that cater for that body shape as they tend to have too much round the belly area when they fit on the top ?
I've just bought new stuff as I'm starting to look daft in 34" waist trousers. Try Jasper Conran from Debenhams, they are tailored nicely to fit a slimmer frame and not stupidly expensive.

Dissapointingly 92.3kg last night, which was plus 0.8kg or thereabouts due to the weekends excesses (4, yes 4 bottles of wine. Spectacular way to fall off dry january, and boy did I pay for friday nights 2 bottle session on saturday).

Bit stalled this week, still 14.13 despite being pretty careful, missed my mid week gym session last night as was completely knackered.

Think this is how it is going to be now, a pound a week is a slog where would be disappointed with only 2 pounds lost in a week when nearer 18 stone.

Still got a month until the end of the challenge though biggrin

Still got six months until we go away, am sure I can drop this last full stone in that time, plus a smidge more perhaps, just needs more focus and can also hope for those weird, magical inexplicable overnight 3 pound drops !

Run on Monday - cycled to work yesterday and again today.

The bright side of it is that I am getting quicker on everything, so gains are obviously there.

If I don't get off 13 bloody 9 this week Im going to dive face first into a massive plate of fish and chips and you bds can't stop me smile

Been level at 131.4 for the last 3 mornings which is frustrating given the clean eating and gym but hoping it's a small plateau and the numbers will continue to fall again soon before I get too frustrated.

Seem to be a few Plateaus, I do think sometimes it is just storing up the loss for a surprise drop, usually triggered by a blow out, been sensible this week but we are going out for our anniversary so will have a decent meal and a few drinks, then lets see on Saturday morning.

If you are truly eating less than you lose it will come off, though it depends on the deficit, would take a month if its only 100 cals.

Calorie counting isnt that accurate, its things like 200 calories of sweets is pretty much 100 calories, have 200 cals of Almonds and you would get maybe 140 actual calories, the sweets take little processing beyond dissolving in your gut and they are ready as glucose, the nuts need a whole lot more effort on the part of your metabolism to process so the net intake is lower, the method that they use to calculate it doesnt model how our digestive system works.

I reckon I have cracked this

13 6 all of a sudden. So under 13 and a half and also officially 1 stone down. This is the first week for 3 when I have done a lot of exercise. - 1 lunch run and two cycle commutes - will get one more thing in as well. I have been dodging it because its been below freezing in the morning, so cyclings been off - and work gets in the way of consistent lunch runs

I think I need exercise as a catalyst.

Feeling reasonably satisfied now

Glad you have, gone up a pound and a bit, 15.0 point 8 ffs ! I did have a massive pile of veg last night though

And have a meal out tonight, can only hope that triggers some movement, hopefully not upwards.

Down to 131kg this morning after a few days of no movement. Out for a meal on Saturday so running and gym this weekend to try and offset that!

Hmm, this is slipping to page two.

15.0 again today, no drop for over a week but did have an anniversary meal and quite a lot to drink, have wound the belt in to its last, newly made notch though, missed the gym yesterday as spent 8 hours or so in the garden doing jobs, dry, warm days are a thing to be made the most of at this time of year.

Need to start making more headway, aiming for four days on the bike to work, family are at home as is half term so not worth working from home.

I dont want to settle for where I am now, 15 stone was my am for ages and it has made a huge difference but still need to get another stone or more off.

How is everyone else doing ?

Bit of an odd one here.

Started at 10st 11 (68.5kg) on 1st Jan (in fact was 11 2 a couple of weeks before that but hey.. ), and aiming at 10 st 5. last week was 10st 5 3/4 so almost there.

However, after a week of not exercising, eating crap and expecting to put on weight, was seriously ill Saturday and after the day of throwing up I've gone down to 10 st 0, and a half - so lost just over 5 lb in a week, and now need to put ON weight. WTF..

For the record 63.7kg monday, but hopefully this should go back up next week, lol Don't know what brought it on, I'm hoping it's not the crohns back again tbh but we'll see... scratchchin Something tells me crohns would be cheating given this is a weight-loss challenge, so if it is I'll politely and gracefully retire... smile

Jacko, sounds like you may just need to be more strict on yourself, and track it all properly. I know that's boring, but sometimes it just takes a few weeks of regularly sticking to it, to allow a kick start.

You are probably right, but not doing that much different but its not moving, think this week there needs to be more effort made, not ready to just maintain yet.
