Returned from a week's holiday 2kg the wrong way. Back out running this morning and will be every day until I'm back on track.

Seems odd that you've stagnated. How much running are you doing a week? I'm cycling just over 400km a week, at Christmas I was 80kg and now I'm approx 75.5kg and pretty ripped, but with only a slight adjustment to my diet. It seems strange that your loss of weight is so slow. Not having a go by the way.

87.9, slowly but surely. Meal planning is absolutely key I find.

Not ashamed to admit, last week I completely fell off the wagon, not helped in part by a 2 day trip away with work.

Weighed in 1.5lb heavier than my last weigh in frown. Since Monday I've made a new resolution to get back on track, get back to tracking my macros and eating below my calorie requirement.

Yeah - I've had a tough week or two too - really lost the plot and work stress made easy (read junk) food the choice of the day, repeatedly. Thankfully I got away for half term and was at a hotel with a really nice, healthy, food selection. Easier to make good decisions.

So this morning's weigh in of 74.9 kg was a nice surprise. Moving in the right direction again and now I'm mentally refreshed I can get back to eating really good food and losing a few more kg. Though we're halfway through, I'm not halfway to my goal, so I need to rethink, as losing 6kg in six weeks isn't going to happen, nor will it be a healthy plan. I think I'll aim for a more realistic 72kg by the end of March. I have a marathon in May, so I need to fuel my training for that, not be too obsessive over calories for April and May.

Am working hard this week, on the bike every day and have got faster, just had lunch, last food was at 6.30 last night, having home made salads all week and putting the effort in with them and they are lovely, grated Carrot helps add flavour, a few mixed seeds and did a Mustard Mayonnaise, literally just Colmans mixed into Mayonnaise was lovely. Did a few weights in the shed gym last night then a half hour walk with the hound.

A stressful couple of days has lead on to eeating rubbish in too big a quantity, and drinking more than I should as well.

Consuming this stuff as an emotional crutch is an awful habit.

It happens, just get back on the wagon and return to the healthy routine. Succumbed to a Chinese at lunchtime but will run further tomorrow to compensate.

Well I am down almost exactly 3kg to 97kg which is less than I hoped for but more than I have done so before consistently. Overall I am happy but slow and steady I think wins this race for me. When I try to be ultra good I end up crashing and scoffing something ridiculous.

Aiming for 10kg more by August personally.

92.2kg.

So, a 1kg increase on last week. But that was because we had family party and a night away from home, that had always been planned for and factored in. So a couple of nights on the booze, orange party buffet food, a cooked breakfast including bacon-laced yorkshire pudding!. Basically, weight loss put on hold.

Still on track, just, for my target of 85kg by 10th April.

I might start excercing in order to speed things along.

Got down to 82.5kgs - a loss of almost a stone (I know, mixing my measures!). Pleased. Felt great.

Then Valentines day meal came. I fell right off the programme and was too scared to weigh myself this week. Fish and Chips last night. Not good.

I usually think at this stage - sod it. I mustn't this time. Back on the wagon!

Jumped on the scales this morning, keeping in mind I weighed in at 105.57 on Monday, I came in at 104.71, a loss of 2lb...since monday, which is also the lightest I've been since we started.

Clearly this is not all fat but it does go someway to explaining how stty I've been feeling, bloated and generally wobbly.

Interesting how its happened straight after a period of falling off the wagon though.

Onwards and upwards.

Finally, bit of progress, 14 st 11, almost 3 stone since I started in early Sept which was 17.10 when I first dared get on the scales, that last drop has been a while coming, felt it would be a good drop as have been peeing for England over night which seems to be a sign for a drop incoming.

Was getting a bit despondent it hadnt moved in ages but if you keep on track food and exercise wise, and dont cheat too much, it comes.

Still work to do but a drop does make a good start to the day.

Trying a slightly different approach this week. Making sure I eat and exercise really well this week, but avoiding the scales, in the hope that I get a really good result on Monday. Due a hair cut too. It all helps. Bit high risk though - I'll be gutted if I haven't made some progress.

Yeah, there is actual weight loss/gain and the normal ebb and flow of your body, there is potential to weigh in a trough, work hard for a week and weigh in on a peak, hopefully that background change stays the same and you get a good drop, or you weigh at a peak, then in a trough, I reckon however it happens, if you get a drop and its the lowest you have been then that is progress.

I just tell myself, through all the walks/cycling in the cold and pissing rain, all the hours in the gym, all the going to the fridge and denying myself stuff, all the Stella that remains in the shop, all the delicious takeawasy Omar doesnt bring me any more will be/already is worth it. I am healthier, I can lift more, 34 inch waist pants fit, XL Shirts fit, I am getting abs ! nobody is making fat comments any more, sex life has improved, BP down, getting out of cars and sofas is easier, food bill is down and more, with all that number on the scale is fairly irrelevant but it quantifies progress with a simple to use metric.

Bad weekend, drinks Fri and Sat, 2 meals out, lets see what the scales say tomorrow !

Awesome BBQ meal in Bath, was ravenous but skeptical but it went down very nicely, and I missed my Sunday gym session as was down there.

Ugh. Had a horrible run yesterday and spent the rest of the day really dehydrated. As such, my 74.8 kg this morning could be really good, or really bad. I have no idea. I'll give it a couple of days and try again.
