Forgive me for being blunt but.....for those who have "normal" foreskin, it's normally retracted during sex anyway (well....it is for me...maybe I'm the abnormal one !). It's the glans that gives the MOST pleasure....you just haven't experienced it yet !
Just wanted to post to say the same. The pleasure is in the glans not that piece of skin.

I had an American girlfriend who was shocked at her first uncircumcised penis. Apparently most US guys are 'done'.

In a big dry spell ie between my ex wife and my first new girlfriend my foreskin was so tight it wouldn't retract easily, or rather it could but it was painful and made the old fella look like a wasp biggrin

I considered circumcision but thankfully frequent use seems to have solved the situation. I presume the constant stretching helps.

Good luck and I'm sure once the initial healing period is over it will all be fine and dandy.

OP - this ^^ is what I was getting at.

Circumcision should be the nuclear option in this case if you haven't already tried stretching it out, IMO.

I've been trying stretching and the good news is that I can stretch the foreskin sideways to open a hole and see my glans. So I know the skin is elastic if it ever reaches the foreskin. This doesn't hurt. No creams involved.

The bad news is when I try to retract (Slowly; I thought I should try to give the specialist more info and see where my limit is), I feel a tight band of skin near the tip of my penis. This I guess must be the frenulum, and a tight/short one at that! So I only stretch to a limited point really, which I doubt is getting me far in terms of progress... It doesn't hurt, just I can feel its presence as if its telling me not to go further, so I don't.

I'll mention all this to the specialist. Really don't want to cause damage and complicate things... If he recommends stretching with these specific symptoms, I'm game! And more specifically, the exact exercises for my exact sy,ptoms.

The confusing thing is there's hardly any information on difficult to retract when flaccid. Only thing I've found is possible adhesions. Most people seem to have difficult to retract when erect, but not when flaccid.

I'm kinda keen on circ (if necessary), so will see. Interested in people's experience generally with this, in adulthood.

I can't help but get the impression you are over thinking this OP.

So I saw the specialist today and he said I have BXO and adhesions (I believe the adhesions are a side-effet of BXO from built up smegma).

Suggested a full circumcision, partly to prevent further complications. From this thread, I was/am quite keen on the idea. Specialist seemed very competent and even mentioned a special technique he uses that minimises bleeding.

Specialist was very surprised I've had no symptoms at all given the severity of my condition (which in turn made me not seek advice till now).

The specialist got me kinda worried when he said we will realise the full extent of your BXO when your circumcised. Is this easy to clear up with creams?

I'm quite keen with the circ, seems like it's the best option.

1) Simple surgery, under general and it's all done
2) Never have to worry about tight foreskin later in life
3) Easy to use condoms (as someone said)
4) With BXO, circ is the only real option anyway.

What about masturbating?

Just not that tighter grip when doing the above....

Get it done, all the points put forward over the benefits are true, you will feel like a new man! - Yes, there will be some changes, but it will be a 100% improvement!

Think of it as changing the tyres on your car from really bad ditchfinders (Avon winters, I'm looking at you) to some decent rubber, you can now use the car as intended and not stop and limp home from the first corner. Yes, you won't be OEM spec, but the ladies who look at your car will say nice car, lets see how you can handle it!

You'll probably have to use lube like our friends across the pond.

Hi

Good luck with the op

When you've had the physical side done you might want to make some appointments into the emotional/mental side as well. While lopping off your foreskin might only take an hour it sounds like it's going to take a few weeks of wking and some therapy to sort out the rest of what's going on with your analyses of every little detail.

Hmm true but at the same time, I don't have a choice (circ is pretty much the treatment for BXO, along with creams and stuff), so it's a case of just accepting it.

Out of those who's had a circumcision here, who had a full circ? (As you can get a partial one).

Weird saying this on the internet, but whatever. I had it done when I was 13 due to the same problem. It's routine, takes 1-2 hours or something, and absolutely no problem ever with anything. You have nothing to worry about.

Full circumcision with frenulectomy. "Standard" tight foreskin. 45 minute operation.

You know how it is when you get a new car and you keep wanting to jump in it and go for a drive? Any excuse, down to the shops 100m away for a paper, down to Halfords for a wiper blade, down to your mates, polish it, go for a drive, polish it some more... you get the idea. New toy, and you just want to play with it. Well I was like that.

I guess this metaphor is the direct inverse of the "sports car as a phallus" thing, and for a few months I was driving it like a teenager.

Thanks guys. On the one hand, I'm not best pleased this is what I need to do, but on the other hand I can have a permemant cure. There's no point worrying about the sexual factor because it's highly subjective and for some people, circumcised is better. So, as someone wrote, "YMMV".

Can someone with a circumcised still enjoy oral sex? (Yes, TMI with these questions lol).

The thing is, everyone who has had a circumcision as an adult has done so because their cock wasn't working properly to start with, so any opinions you receive will be from people who probably couldn't enjoy it pre-chop for various reasons.

It sounds like you aren't going to be getting sucked off until you get this issue sorted one way or another. It's probably 99% cheese down there at the moment.

I don't know why you are asking these questions when you say you are a virgin. It makes no difference to anything, and at the moment it doesn't work. So just get it done.

Amongst all the dross, the pettiness, the machismo and the piss-taking of the PH forums I'm heartened to see that a thread can survive without interference and actually be useful to the OP.

I have nothing helpful to add, but OP: best of luck with whatever happens. You have my sympathies. I hope your long-term happiness isn't affected by what you've suffered/tolerated for 30 years of your life.
