I got bitten by a spider underneath my left pec. Didn't know what it was, just two puncture wounds and sore for days. Went to the doc and he diagnosed a spider bite and said it would need no attention other than keep clean. The wound area became red to the size of a beermat then subsided to a purple pound coin size lump. 3 months later it burst with black blood and pus...... charming frown

I had an abscess in my stoma (gastrostomy) that did the same.

I was expecting some kind of g*d-awful rotting flesh smell, so the powerful bottom-of-a-pond smell that showed up instead was almost a relief.

Still rank though. But oh Doctor the relief, I have never had anything stop hurting so quickly in my life.

Bites?
Spiders and other insects. I used to suffer a lot once with reactions after getting bitten. They love my arms!

Went to look at a car mag in WHS one warm Saturday years back. Flicked through one, and went to put it back on shelf (I'd felt something bite near my elbow, but I was used to it). As I lifted my arm to put the mag back so I saw this red line ...which was going up my arm further by the minute! eek

Wtf! I went straight to the nearest chemist and quick thinking pharmacist said go straight to the local community hospital, told me not to be fobbed off and don't take no for an answer, and go though door a or b or something. Within 10 mins I was on antibiotics.
Tracking (that's apparently what it's called is not good for your health!).

I hate winters and love summers (except being bitten!)
Next year I had this beauty! You can see where it(?) bit me.

The pesky little blighters changed tack a couple years back. Mexico.
I got load of mossy bites down each leg. I looked like something alien (or my legs did!)
Not posting pics of those. wink
Last year was good! Didn't get bitten. I think they've sucked me dry. hehe
