Exactly the same. Hovering between 14-15% bodyfat even with running 20 miles a week and intense weights sessions.

Diet is hindering me from getting more cut. Alcohol is minimal so it's pure diet limiting me. I really struggle to eat quality dinners
How are you measuring bodyfat ?

14/15 % is pretty good and better than a lot of the population.

My scales put me at 25% currently (was 32 percent) and that puts me at the top end of average instead of Obese biggrin though BMI still says I am Obese, with a BMI of 30.7

Not sure how accurate the scales are but they seem to be tracking weight loss, so in the absence of abetter method that is what will suffice, if nothing else, when I weigh myself and I havent gone down its good to see fat percent go down and muscle up

I am 227 pounds now, 25 percent Body Fat means I have 56.75 pounds of fat in total about my person, to get down to 15 percent BF I need to lose another 22/23 pounds, from 16.3 to about 14 and a half, wonder how accurate that is ?

If I had no fat at all it would mean I weigh about 12 stone (lean mass of about 170 lbs or 12 st 2), which is towards the higher end of the BMI healthy weight range of 9 st 10 to 13 st 3 for my age and height, I would need to be in single figures BF percentage to even fit in the BMI healthy weight range.

Same as Olly but mostly the scales/visually/clothes look feel. I was probably double the bodyfat in the past and I am really struggling to lose that last bit of lose skin around my stomach. I know I am reasonably fit, but can't really remember what it felt like being much heavier so don't feel satisfied. I am able to run 15miles and run at least 20 a week as well as cycling and at least two gym sessions usually with strength / muscle building exercises.

The scales in the gym give me a very detailed overview of my body composition. The last time one I have a picture of on my phone (print out) showed skeletal muscle mass of 41kg (normal range is 28-35) apparently, weight 80.7, total fat mass 12.5kg. If I can get my bodyfat to 10-12% that would would equate to 2-3kg of pure fat less to run with. BMI doesn't take into account muscle mass as you know, so even at 15% bodyfat, my BMI is around 25.

I know this final few kg of fat will take some serious will power with diet as well as upping the running length to help with an diet imperfections.

Good luck. Patience and it will come. I found it 'easier' to try and 'out train' my 'not so great' diet as well as cutting out drink rather than trying to rely on a perfect diet. Everyone is different, clearly.

Still 16.1, as in bang on 16.1.0, so may have lost half a pound.

Been fairly good, but only cycled 2 days and not been to the gym yet this week, going tonight after work.

I guess this is a bit of plateau.

I did buy some new jeans last night, 36 inch waist was very comfy, 10 weeks ago my 38s were too tight.

Ta, you gone down any more ?

I am pretty on it at the moment, due to drop into the 15s, though I think I have further to go than I thought, at least 2 stone, would love to get a proper target but I guess I will know.

Will no doubt back off a bit for Christmas but target has been reached 3 weeks early, I said 16 by Christmas but should be able to get down a bit from there, then, in the New Year, no booze and on it until at target.

Time for me to stop pissing about and get back into a routine. I went from 85kg at the start of 2014 to 74kg by the middle of 2014. By summer 2015 I was up to 81kg so forced myself back into it and dropped down to 78kg. I weighed myself last week and I'm 86.5!

Granted it was easier in 2014 as I worked evenings whereas now I'm on 09:00-17:00 so motivation is hard especially if work has been ste. Daft thing is I managed to run a 10k last month without any training, my time wasn't great at1:23:45 (nope I didn't make that up) but I guess it's a start.

Anyone else finding it easier to comfort eat or just eat more junk due to the crappy weather?

Yes, it is, but just think that in April you will emerge blinking and bloated into Spring, now is the time to work on it really with the eye on the prize of being slim when the nice weather arrives.

We have stopped the gorging cap on the couch, was the first thing to go at the end of summer, after dinner out came the Jaffa Cakes or bar of chocolate, still have the odd bit but it is a cube of dark chocolate and we have to go to the kitchen to get it, not sit there with the entire bar.

I take the dog out every night and go and do some weights in my man shed (not so much this last week or two its been minus figures in there)

I did eat some crap last night, got back from walking the dog and was starving, still, obviously didn't do any harm as was 15.12 this morning.

So, 26 pounds down so far, homing in on my 15 stone target but think that isn't going to be enough.

I rather shocked myself earlier this week. 14 stone. The heaviest I've ever been. I'm 5'7 and and 29 years old. I look pretty dammed ill in recent photos and I feel it. Lethargic, bloated and my favourite clothes don't fit. I saw a picture of me from 2014 when I was around 11.5 stone, and looked a lot better. Time to sort it out, I was genuinely angry with myself when I stepped off the scales. Off to Florida in March, I aim to be 12.5 stone by then.

Go for it, track your progress on here, I am finding it useful even if I am boring you all stless biggrin

Its a good historic list of how much I weighed on a given day, has took me about seven weeks to go from 17 st to 16, to lose a stone and a half by March should be easy to achieve if you focus.

At 29 it should fly off.

I've been a bad person for the last few weeks and ducked exercise and eaten fairly badly too. Thankfully I stuck at 14.5 stone, so time to get back on it.

Impressive, nearly three stone !

Am hovering on 15.13, can't fathom it, it comes off when it comes off, said I would be sub 16 by Christmas so done that, anything else is a bonus, then aiming for 14.4 by March, 200 pounds, 22 to lose.

There's probably good, bad and indifferent reasons why, but I was the same. Shed a chunk, pause, a bit more, pause and so on.
Frustrating, but at the same time it isn't easy to be (almost) anally committed, plus it took time to go on, so.....

Now just need some of that commitment to get the fat down & muscle up. Too skinny fat frown.

I have been quite committed this week, really enjoying feeling less fat, my car is getting very little use !

Still hovering on 15.12 15.13, due a drop, will have a bit of a drink tonight as that usually triggers some movement, not loads but a couple of decent sized Whiskies before bed, sounds weird but seems to work, sometimes as well, eating a bit of crap when you have been good all week seems to let your body let go of some fluid, I read that the Triglycerides in the fat cells get used up and your body fills them with water, in case it needs them again, it gets calories it decides it can release the water, called a Whoosh apparently.

You cant be half hearted about this and the joy from food needs to be replaced with the prize of dropping some weight.

That's taken 7 years but the last year or so of running regular 5Ks has certainly paid off.
