Woke up this morning with a hangover and the worse case of Hayfever that I have had since being a kid. Not sure why this is happening as I am indoors and don't tend to suffer until May.

The symptoms still have not abated, non stop sneezing and dripping nose, eyes watering, even after 2 anti histamines.

Supposed to be going out but I look such a mess now that I will scare passers by.

WTF is happening?

Hayfever? The temperature has only just popped its head over the parapet of freezing point and you've got hayfever?

You sure it's not just bad AIDS?

Really? I find the filtration of the aircon in my apartment helps reduce symptoms immensely.

We've just bought one of these for my wife who suffers quite badly from hayfever:

http://www.electronichealing.co.uk/products/sinupu...

Supposedly helps a lot.

I tried it this morning and it is certainly an odd feeling squirting water up one nostril and then having it come out of the other one a few moments later but if it helps it will be worth it.

I have Hayfever from early Feb until May as i suffer from tree pollen allergy as this is the season.Proper nightmare and suffer as bad as those who suffer from grass pollen. Most tree pollen suffers are affected mostly by silver birch pollen.

Had it for about a month now and will be taking prescription tablets until October. Off the shelf stuff doesnt help and doctors wont give the injection now (so Ive been told).

If you've got symptoms at this time of year your problem is tree pollen, silver birches being the biggest culpret. AI wink

Best of luck its s censoredte... and as previous posts show, sympathy is thin on the ground. smile

That's just what I do, from before the season starts, about May, through to Septemberish. I take the Boots non-drowsy cheapies and a shot or two of Beconase every day, without fail, rain or shine.

I also have shot of my brown Ventolin inhaler every morning, as I get hay fever related asthma.

Yes I have had Acapuncture for the last few years just before the season started and then at various time during the pollen season and it has worked for me very well.

Weird places for the needles to be put & always in pairs, 2 in eyebrows,2 just under nose, 2 in wrists,2 in the inside of knees, 2 on the top of your feet.

Nothing to do with Acapuncture but put some vaseline up your nostrils a couple of times a day to stop the pollen from entering which also helps.

And as someone else has already said take some local honey daily.

I always thought hayfever was a bit like asthma, the sort of thing you grow out of at about 14.

Do you smoke? Out of interest.
