Good core strength. Mind you... gymnasts can do that kind of thing.

Problem is with those kind of moves, it's not too difficult to cause yourself an injury that puts you out of training for 3 months to a year. I've done similar things (dynos in climbing) and really regret it.

Fing is, I say gymnasts can do that kind of thing... but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3i7dGwQboI

Pullup challenge? My PB is 100 in 11 min 30 sec; this was back in the summer when I was fit (and a stone lighter), now I would struggle to beat 15 mins.
Just done this Animal, 10min 58secs for 100 heaves (chin-ups), to be honest caught me out as thought i'd just smash 10 sets of 10 every minute but have trained fair bit today.

5 x 10 Overgrasp Heaves, 5K Row, Plyometric legs, press ups, ropes and abs.

Animal done it fresh today rather than after training, 100 Heaves (Pull-Ups/Chin-Ups) in 09min 21secs.

I GOT IT!!!

Very nervous of hanging my heavy 10.5 stone mass off it, though. Doorframe is in good condition. I understand the mechanics. But still!

I hate you. If it wasn't for this injured shoulder of mine I'd be doing sub-6min times, I tell you!

Seriously impressive time though...

I had an incident with one of those. My sister bought me one for my birthday. Opened package in front of her, put it up. Did 3 pull ups and the bar fell away; I landed on my lower back, rolled backwards and smacked my head against the wall behind me (in corridor). Her response: "I'm taking that back!"

The Power Trainer is £28.99 inc from the inventor's website.

Yes.

Well, I'm only 5'7. I'm bordering on overweight. I put it down to climbing and general fitness training so not bothered.

I can probably do that now... (being a climber 'n' all).

I've been doing uneven pull-ups, hanging a loop of rope on one side and pulling up with left fingertips through rope and right fingertips hanging off powerbar then swap sides. Good training for toughening fingers/crimping strength.

I'd love one of these:

Oddly, my shoulders are aching. Any ideas why?

Ha ha I know a friend brought one after seeing mine up and he landed on his knees, did I laugh.

Brought mine in 1997 and along with my press up stands (again from Argos)they have been part of my hand luggage on holiday ever since and have been brilliant superb bits of kit.
