Does anyone have any input on the amount of Vitamin B12 contained in such shakes?

Reading the label on mine it contains 998% of my RDA, I'm taking 2/3 shakes per day.

Recently I've noticed that the index finger on my left hand has varying degrees of numbness in the tip and reading up it appears that is a common side effect of too much B12...

Are there any shakes out there that have lower levels? Maybe I should cut down to 1 per day...

Why coke?? What about the gas??

I Blend a tin of tuna into a pint of milk every now and again,,, and although it's not exactly tasty, i can guarantee its a hell of alot better than tuna and coke.

More like what about the sh!tload of sugar! Coke is nutritionally useless.

Why not suggest he blends it with Guinness?

I put a tin of tune into strawberry yoghurt most days, its lovely.

ETA, i used to train in the same gym as a champion power lifter, in fact he held world records for some of his lifts, and he only ever used to have a protein shake after the gym, the rest of his protein intake was all diet which he swore by!

Nearly all my protein intake is from my diet. I have been training for 6 months or so now and, at first, I did find it a little difficult hitting my protein targets without scoffing down too much saturated fats. A shake is a good, fat free way of getting a hit but if you have the appetite to get your protein from your diet then its said to be better (though usually more expensive and not as convenient)

I have purchased from myprotein though on recommendation from chaps at the gym and I found it good quality (though I only use sparingly, always with milk for the extra cals!)

I go with myprotein Impact whey, L-Glutamine, HMB, Maltodextrin and a dextrose.

No unpleasant stomach side effects.

I tried CEE, the moust foul tasting substance ever. I switched to Monohydrate, but everytime I take it I get huge painful spots.

Creatine ethyl esther does taste absaloutely dreadful; take it with a very citrusy drink (e.g. grapefruit juice) and it completely maskes that nasty taste (nearly).

What's CEE? Do you compete in a sport?

I tried pretty much all the "best" brands over the last 5 years on & off & none of them worked for me.
I now have a gym in our spare room & do some weights everyday for approx 1 hour & i can see a massive difference already & only been doing it for about 5 months.

I have put on about 20lbs in this time.

Well yes, working out and taking extra protein would tend to give results, were you expecting a milkshake to turn you into Dorian yates without lifting a dumbell?
