Just tried the protein bread and really like it. Tastes a lot better than burgen, isn't too spongy and goes down well untoasted. Probably the quickest way to chew through 30g of protein.
Far too expensive though don't you agree?

I was lucky and musclefoods sent me 2 loafs free for feedback.
When they told me it would be £4.50 (I think) I told them good luck selling it.

Tesco has a range of protein smoothies, £2, expensive, very nice.
Titled as Sky, but seems to be made by CNP.

Two free loafs, jealous smile love this stuff. I like it most because its less of a chore than cooking chicken and veg; I just put peanut butter on 2 slices of bread for adequate protein, carbs and fat. I'm going to try it for a pre-workout meal with some sort of high carb spread. This bread, a quest bar, a protein shake and a proper meal; its getting easy to eat well.

I spotted that my nearest Tesco Superstore (Earls Court) has opened a section devoted entirely to health and fitness with all sorts of protein and supplements products. I was quite surprised.

For me it's just the cost. Otherwise it would be easy to eat well.
have to admit though, I enjoyed making a 60g protein ham sandwich biggrin

Flipping heck, they've only gone and stopped stocking the lovely dr zaks bread. I had so many different sandwiches with that bread.

Now they're selling the p28 protein bread and bagels which state natural ingredients but contains genetically modified stuff.

Shakes that have just sugar (no artificial sweeteners), do they still exist? If so, what are people's faves?

When I first started, I used MaxiNutrition Promax Lean Definition Protein Shake, but quickly realised that one tub lasted only 10 days, and it wasn't cheap. tried a few others, but most required 2 scoops per serving, so wasn't much better. I have now settled on Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey, the 2.2kg tubs. These last a whole month with 2 servings per day. (one with milk and the second with water).

Has MyProtein fallen out of favour then? They used to be very popular hereabouts.

I still use them, always got great deals, though I only by 5kg unflavoured stuff. Protein Dynamics is another one I've been looking at- they have really good deals around payday- 3 for 2; 30% off & free shipping etc etc. I only spot the deals after getting from MP though......

You get some good deals on Amazon. Free postage and next day delivery if you are a Prime member. I currently use PHD Synergy ISO 7 and PHD Diet Whey but I find the Synergy ISO 7 better for protein farts smile

I agree on sweeteners though, especially sucralose, makes everything take like you're eating a piece of foil.
