Very sorry to hear this.

It's a reminder to all of us to make the most of the time that we've got with our loved ones.

Feel for you Ben, I lost my mother in August and it's as rough as it gets. Hang in there and treasure the great memories.

Jesus, Ben. 47 is horrendously young. My sincere condolences to you and to your family.

Sorry to hear about this chap. The odd thing is, if you read the thread today, it's like it has all happened in minutes. I bet sometimes, when you look back on life, it feels like it has only been minutes too.

Be strong for your family, they will neeed you now.

Very sorry to hear it. Cancer is a terrible disease but we do hear more about those who lose the fight than those who win it, so hoping for the best.

Think its a bit late for that mate.

Thoughts are with you Ben, like many people who have posted I too lost my father 6 yrs ago to this bloody illness.

Take comfort it was fairly quick, no pain,or hanging about confined to bed for weeks waiting to go.

Remember him everyday of your life, what he taught you, make him proud.

Its what I do, and it gives me great strength, knowing I wouldnt be half the man I am without the love and help I had from my dad.

Ill stop right there, im beginning to sound like a girl, lol, im sure you know where im coming from.

That didn't go well. He went peacefully and in no pain a few hours ago. At least I know that he's now up there with his dad, sitting back and putting the world to rights over a cold pint.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Onwards and upwards.
Very sorry mate. All the best
