Always read this thread but never update it myself!

Ok, tonight's session - weighted dips up to 40kg, weighted pullups to 30kg, and a quick burn up on the flat bench at 95kg

Good wee blast.

Had a reliable spotter in the gym tonight so really went for it with bench:

Bench: 3 x 140kg+15kg chains, 3 x 150kg+15kg chains, 1 x 160kg+15kg chains, -1 x 180kg, -1 x 190kg, -1 x 200kg, 15 x 120kg

Bent-over rows: 10 x 150kg, 8 x 160kg

Pull-ups: 8 x bodyweight, 5 x bodweight+20kg

I need some ibuprofen now!

Help ma boab hehe

Some impressive numbers there dude!

What bodyweight are you, out of interest?

Also, how do you find the chains? We've got some on order, so looking forward to trying them out.

Cheers. Hopeing to build the numbers up a bit for the bench comp I'm doing as there at least 2 200kg+ lifters going to be there.

I am around 117kg right now.

I like the chains although they don't quite help me hit my sticking point on bench - I need a non-linear increase in resistance through the range of motion, getting much harder at lockout. I think bands may be the way to go for that...

Busy, stressful day - and being a lazy git - so just pushups x 46, x 40 then x 35 off knees as it was killing my toe nails!

Not to rub it in, but...

Had ingrowing nails from 15 to 18 - both big toes each time - a right mess and agony, amazed I didn't die of blood poisoning. Dithering NHS moron(s) and two late, hamfisted operations and they've been botched ever since and hurt regularly, esp with the pressure of push ups.

Painful !
I had both big toenails ingrowing at 24, so bad that I had to have one operation and let them grow back before having another operation to kill the roots so they wouldn't grow back. The left one has still grown back but is okay whilst the right one is just a twisted mess.

2 years of pain, the local anaesthetic hurt more than the toenails !

Sorry Viperpict biggrin

10 tonnes of deadlifts this morning (10x10 with 100kg), followed by some light clean & jerk and shoulder work and some stretching.

More conditioning to follow tomorrow. I suspect I'll have a go at doing 250 burpees for time or something like that.

crossfit....warm ups then 21-15-9 of 70kg deads and handstandpushups!......had to do these last ones semi inclined on a box. Arms and shoulders tired now. Timed at 4 mins 10 sec. Need lots of practice to even do a hadnstand against the wall. Need to be a bit more dainty/nimble than I am at the mo!

Seriously, you should have seem mine or sat downwind at school! Well, maybe not. Left it too late to go to the docs and then slowed by 1970s health service inertia so they were rotten... toes eaten away basically. If my kids got anywhere near that I'd be scared to death. Horrific memories really.

Gym last night - chest arms and back. Very very sore today. Went a lot heavier than I usually go.

In France at the moment so no running today but a nice bike ride along the Brittany coast is the order of the day tomorrow. smile

I'm visiting parents at the moment for a week so no training, using it as a rest and recovery week. Itching to throw some weight around though!
