Pretty good session today...

OH Squats - Light for back and leg saving
3 x 3 at 80kg

Snatches - First rep and I thought my wrist was going to fall off, so much pain. Pushed through and it stopped hurting so much, I just hope I haven't made it worse!
Doubles at 70kg
Singles at 80kg

SA DB floor to OH
Warmed up wity 6s at 38kg then 46kg
1 x 4 at 55kg- broke the plate loaded dumbell. bks!

Jerks - tech is pretty poor, too much press not enough drop and jerk
Triples at 80kg
Doubles at 90kg
Singles at 100kg

Ab roll outs
3 x 12

Aleknas
3 x 5(10) at 10kg

fking st DL session today, not going to post the numbers as it's too upsetting. Bad bad day. Pretty pissed off with DL performance of late, it's been steadily going backwards as I've been loosing weight. All my other lifts have stayed the same or got better, so I think it goes to show how much BW effects ones DL. Also, taking 92kg as my weight when I pulled 225kg for 3 reps and taking current body weight 86kg and assuming I can pull 210kg for 3 reps (certain I can, hopefully more tbh - going to test next week as this is the end of my 5 rep work) my strength to BW ratio has stayed exactly the same, so quite telling I think really. Silver lining and clutching at straws maybe, but it does give me a little solice!

Rest of the session went okay

Nordic Curls
3 x 8 - these are easy when you're lighter!

Bench press
2 x 5 at 120kg
1 x 4 at 125kg

OAR
3 x 8 at 46kg

Cleans didn't go great. Doubles at 100kg and things went to peices after that

SA BB snatches, singles at 50kg.

Strict OH Press

Jerks - tech work

2 x 3 at couldn't make it

Test day today for 3RM. Not a bad workout but I'm very dissapointed with my deadlifts. Gunna have to work very hard when I get back from holiday. Plan is to get to target weight of 85kg by the time I'm back off my jollies so I can get on a maintenence diet and not need to worry about trimming up, and get DL back on track. I also think it's a little in my head as my 2nd felt EASY but just coudln't pull the third...

Hmm not thr best session - put down to being hungry (carbs limited to two slices of toast and a protein flapjack today) and training especially late for me...

Squats (3RM testing)
180kg for 3
190kg for 1! pissed off with this as last session I squatted 185kg for 5 twice, thought I'll have a crack at 190kg and got 3 reps out, very fatigued after the 2x5 at 185kg. So, I'm gunna take my 190kg for 3 from my last session as my 3RM and work from there when I come back off holiday in a week.

Dips (3RM testing)
50kg for 5
60kg for 3
65kg for 3
70kg for 3 - 3RM
Tried 75kg and got 2.

Chins
25kg for 3
30kg for 3
35kg for 3
40kg for 3 - 3RM

Shoulder press - (tired and very, very hungry by this point)
70kg for 5
75kg for 3 - 3RM
80kg for 1

A weeks holiday starting tomorrow, gunna massivley clean up my diet and try and get more of the good stuff in and less of the bad stuff, don't mind throwing some money towards stocking up. Wanna stick at the 85kg I've got myself too, but continue leaning up.

Oh, and as an asside. I was 93kg about 6-8 weeks ago (can't quite remember how long ago I started to trim up) and now I'm 85kg. Fairly happy with that, and it wasn't hard at all. I do miss the bulk though!!

Well back from Holiday last night at about 3am, needed to train as I've been missing it so went in today for my first 3 rep session, planning to go below max for my first session back. I would love to say these weights were easy, but they really weren't! 190kg on the DL wasn't too hard but felt much harder than it should, but I'm now 83kg, a total weight loss of just over 10kg, so now gunna massivly clean up and sort out my diet to get the weight up a few kilos but stay (and hopefully improve) my leaness.

DLs
5 x 3 at 190kg

Bench press
5 x 3 at 120kg

Chins - losing weigt does make these easy at least!
1 x 3 at 25kg
1 x 3 at 30kg
3 x 3 at 35kg

A friend of mine is doing a research masters looking at how lower body kinetics effect upper body kinematics (I think) during the snatch movement: whether imbalances between lower limb forces effect the lift. I'm a test subject at we did 1RM snatch testing today as well as biokinetic testing. Got the snatch analysis next week.

Snatch 1RM is 80kg. At 83kg bw, not bad and only 5kg of my best ever.

Wanted to do a bit more but didn't have the time. Did about 15 snatches up to 80kg, so not a bad snatch session.

I've 3 repped 200kg a few months ago. 10kg weight loss seems to have taken my squat down too. I think If I did a 1 3 rep attempt now I'd get 190kg for one set.

Feeling as weak as a kitten atm though. Struggling massivly with DLs mainly, DL session today was hard and I'm just not lifting what I know I can. Heads all over the place and I'm messing up basics. I also weighed myself today; 82kg so I'm still losing weight. Need to add to my diet, but keep it clean. Might go through a hypertrophy phase if things don't improve to try and more rapidly put some some lean weight on.

DLs
3 x 3 at 190kg - felt dead easy so went to 195kg only for things to fall apart, at below 200kg!! frown I'm close to tears about this. I'd rather be fat and strong than lean struggling at these weights!
2 x 2 at 195kg - 2 was easy and then everything went to peices on the 3rd.
3 fking months ago I was 10 repping 200kg!!!

Alright, alright; don't gloat!! wink

TBF If you take my bw as 82.5 kg (including clothes) and my single 3 rep max as 200kg (should be at least this, just for one set) then my strength to bw ratio is 2.4xbw, which is the same as 225kg for 3 at 83kg. Just shows how important bw is for a DL, but doesn't make me any happier!

hehe fit very angry and had already taken my caffeine. Went home and the gym is 20 mins away so didn't have time for a 40 min round trip and then a session before the fun closes so I took I the dogs out for a couple of hours to try and make use of the caffeine.

Yeah I'd spilt joggers in one set of squats. I splilt five pairs of shorts this year so had to change the style I wore.

On a thread note rather than actually what the thread is about, it's only 80 posts away from 10,000 which will officially take it Vol 2, according to the mods I've spoken to in the past. If and when this happensm I'd really like to be the OP of Vol.2, because I'm a bit of a geek and I'm proud of my thread? Is there anyway to make that happen if/when a mod closes this thread?

Had a st!! squat strength session on Tuesday, so with my low rep work going down the crapper at the moment, I'm breaking it up now with some hypertrophy work for a while. 10 rep, lots of sets, foxused muscle groups (to a certain extent) and I started with a quick one on tuesday, as I'd already done some low rep squat work and had to go to a speed awareness course...

Squats
3 x 10 at 150kg - fairly easy, gunna push these up 5kg a sesison

Dips
3 x 10 at 40kg

Incline DB press (very exhausted from the dips)
2 x 8 at 37.5kg (usually v.easy!)

3 x 10 at 170kg - First set was easy, last set nearly killed me!

Lunges
Up to 100kg for 10 reps. Started light and didn't really get heavy as I was still wobbly from the DLs

Leg press
Cable pleg press machine, so I stacked it and did sets of 10. Bit easy really.

Nordic curls
3 x 8

Ab roll outs
3 x 12
