My RS MK2 Focus is due for changing (if I decide to) in the next few months, and there are many things which I really like about the Evora, the main one being the dynamics (according to the test reports etc, that is)....reading through the threads I am becoming concerned however, because non of you owners seem to talk about your driving/ownership experiences, but appear to be becoming only interested in how shiny the wheel nuts are?....apologies if this comment upsets you, but look at the content of the recent threads.

So what are they really like to own and drive, or are they like most cars, that no matter how good they are, ultimately they become too familiar? I do two longish trips down the A14 every week, and a bit of pottering in My Focus (300 miles ish), and for the weekends I have a supercharged S2 111R for fun. Both really good cars, in very different ways...If I ran an Evora, would the Elise to be enough of a contrast, or would I be happy replacing both, and not get bored with just the Evora?? I like to do a few trackdays and the like through the year...do any of you track your Evora`s?

I only picked up mine a month ago and have yet to have any really long drives (150 miles max in one day) but it replaced a K series 111S with a larini that was loud and fast. They are totally different cars IMO but retaining enough of the DNA that made you buy the elsie in the 1st place.

If your elise is kept for maximum attack track work and spirited drives, the Evora would handle anything you throw at it, including taking the long way home (often) as its just that good! The drviving experience really is top notch and you feel encouraged to drive (very) quickly, I have probably pushed harder sooner in the Evora than I ever did in the elise due to the feeling of stability (better suspension - especially over potholes, brakes, headlights T/C if you need it etc etc) Might sound flippant but test drive a few and see if it's what you want!! I hope you make the "right" choice! R

I too have only had my evora for about 6 weeks now and it replaced an Elise S.

The Evora is just like the Elise in terms of feel and drive but does so 100 times better. If you just want to cruise it does so with ease and extremely comfortably. If you want to go for a quick blast it will be very responsive and is the exact reason why i bought an Elise in the first place - even going to the shops can be an adventure.

I'm yet to track mine but have an airfield day booked in next month which i will report back with. I am certain it will be great in this space.

Just go and drive one but i assure you that you wont be disappointed.

Woza.

I've had mine for... hmm... 2-3 months now and its a nice driver. Responsive when you want it to be and tame when you want to just drive it. There are things I don't like about it, but that can be said of any car. I use it as my daily driver - 100 miles a day, 5 days a week. Had a few niggles that I've had done under warranty and will probably have a few more.

On the whole, I like it so far biggrin

There isn't actually a lot of Evora owners on here, you would be better heading over to The Lotus Forums and you'll find us all there.

Do you need 4 seats? If not, the Elise/Evora set up would be great!

I've also tracked my Evora, and previous Exige and actually found the Evora more enjoyable. I do miss roof off motoring though.

I've also taken mine on a few 500mile+ round trips, and its absolutely superb at it, better than my old Range Rover Sport IMO. I love it.

I am fortunate to have an Evora for two and half years 24k and a 111s for almost 13 years roof off 60k. So different which is the attraction - long may it continue !

Is that your only two cars Sumshi? What I mean by that is, do you also have a bigger 4 seater?

I have thought about about buying an S1 Elise for a bit of roof off action, but worried its a bit daft having two 2 seaters
