Folks

Does the BT in the Alpine touchscreen unit pair ok with a Blackberry? (mine is an 8900)

Does it do voice dialing?

Is this the later unit, if so...

I have had mine paired with a bold and a curve. It doesn't however automatically pair again properly. It pairs but not completely so you need to either receive a call or make one from the handset to force through the complete pair process.

This seems to be a common problem that can be fixed by replacing the BT400 unit with the BT200 unit which is more reliable. I have sort of got used to it now and don't make calls whilst driving. As it will receive them I'm not too bothered.

Thanks. I collected the car on Friday, and have the problem that you report. Where does the BT400 live and is it a simple plug and play swap?

As I understand it the module is buried somehwere in the dash and the instrument pack needs to come out to swap it over.

I think i have fixed the issue I had. I connect the phone manually on prompt.
