Evora going in tomorrow for audio upgrade
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Just thought Id share my car is going in tomorrow to Lee @ www.sonicfrontiers.co.uk for one of his custom systems. He's hoping to build a box in the exiting subwoofer location with a 10inch sub. This is subject to pulling the car apart. The plan is to trim the box in the same materials as on the dash so it looks OEM.
Ill ask him to take some pictures throughout the build but Im on Holidays for 2 weeks so doubt Ill have any updates until 1st of June

Hi
should sound epic. I have had my system properly setup now and it sounds great. I could not get a 10" in with the existing trim so I went 8" JL Audio but it certainly has lots of punch and low down power. I guess it will also depend on what you drive it with.
BTW if he is changing the front door mounted speakers get him to stiffen the plastic mounts, makes a good difference.
enjoy

I have a custom tubular exhaust on my Evora, I could spend £100k on the sound system and it would be pointless above 40mph.
I like a good sound system ib a car, but there is so much other noise going on that I dont see the point in spending £1000's, all of the detail of the sound is masked when the car is moving.
But each to his own. I would spend my cash on track days

you don't need to spend £1000s to put a decent sound system in an Evora. I spent £500 (although I already had the sub and I did the work myself).
So I guess it is a sound system for the price of 1 track day, Yes I agree a difficult decision. The way I figure it an exhaust system just makes me drive faster, and I really don't need any encouragement....
BTW on a sort of ralated note (if you will excuse the pun), did any of you watch the Eurovision song contest last night. I must admit I am a real fan of this great event. When is started last night the roads became silent, perfect for a late night blast in a loud Evora (with either the music turned up of the exhaust blatting away, or ideally both..)
cheers

The only music I had on in the car though was the exhaust

Do I understand this correctly , you listen to music and not the engine note ........ ?
I totally know what you mean. I'm currently finding myself looking for different routes home to listen to the exhaust (usually between high building). However I enjoy listening to music usually had a decent volume which I cant do in the house. Its only really when I'm in the car I get to listen to music.
