Hi, I've had my evora MY2011 since September and it's currently at Williams for a service who seem good so far.

I've mentioned to them that the gears are difficult to change at higher revs. They have spoken to Lotus who have approved the swap to the updated cables under warranty or, alternatively, I can pay extra and have it changed to the full 2012 gear cables and linkage. The extra cost is around £900.

I've searched the forums and can find plenty about changing the cables but not the linkage and cables to 2012 spec. Has anyone had this done and, if so, was it worth it? Cheers

When I bought my 2011 Evora from dealer it was just at end of warranty. Found the gear change very heavy and slow to change gear. Had the 2012 cables done under warranty and night and day difference. Sooooooo much better smile

Mine is a 2010 model and had the cables done under warranty before my ownership. The gearchange is great, almost as good as a Cayman

It's still at the dealer waiting for a door mechanism or something, but looking forward to trying the new gearchange when it's ready
