Prices have been holding firm at the bottom end for the year ish I have been looking. The 400 dos impact the top end but that seems to have settled now as well. I bought s Evora s SR in November and had to up my budget by 3k over the initial too end to get mine. I bought it before it was listed anywhere courtesy of the lotus forum community. When this spec car comes on the market it only seems to hang around for a day and many are being snapped up before they hit the market.

Hopefully this is a relatively sensibly place for my money and depreciation won't be too bad. Truly epic cars.

It's s forced sale though due to emigration.

There are s few IPS cars around at the moment. What's your budget.

True, his hand is slightly forced with the move overseas and it has some battle scars to justify the price being a little low, was all very exciting to see but I have not driven a manual for over ten years and for certain would be an embarressing sight of stalling at the lights until I got back in the swing of stirring the gearbox.

Id love to get one at 30k but realistically I think a few more grand and try to get something with the packs and perhaps a nice colour; Im not confident enough to be seen in yellow or orange even if the car does look cracking in these shades. I'd really like to find a trade seller who could take a cobra replica off my hands as part of a px in but this really will have to be a private sale best done in summer sunshine I think. I know a lot of people are hung up on a MY12 or fresher model but I can live with the earlier seats, steering wheel and pre 12 updates.

I recognise that car, it was my manager's car when I was at Lotus. It's a relatively basic spec but he looked after it and it drove well.

If it's been looked after since I'd expect it to be a good car.

To be honest, the only difference in the seats is in the quality of the leather used to cover. It was actually a softer and superior leather that was used for the LE and up to MY12 revamp - but that meant it was not as hard wearing on the bolsters. Other than that the seats in all Evora's (apart from the 400) are the same Recaro Sportster CS's and they are great.

I think a lot of the niggles with the earlier cars are now all sorted with owners generally quietly upgrading where necessary seals etc.

I own a MY2010 NA Evora. Have had it for a year and no issues or problems with it at all - apart from not being to get out in it enough.

There a few "rough" cars out there, but generally, the Evora's seems to have been bought by people who could afford to look after them, and as such, they've been well looked after and are lasting well. £30k get's you a cracking early NA car, £35k the earliest of the S's and £42-45k the best cars, late model S Sport Racer's as the seat trim was further improved etc.

I'll only swap my Evora for another. Not an S though, I'm happy to wait 18 months longer until the 400 hits the £45k - £50k mark andthen will jump into one of those. Until then, my current NA will just keep me smiling when I look at it and drive it. They're a lot of car for what it costs me to run mine, which is not a lot.

Can't see the 400's being that low in 18 months. Can't see them losing 15k-20k in that time frame. Happy to be proved wrong as it could the next car for me after my s sr.

The other difference is additional soundproofing , makes the car a better executive express . Also you get a sat nav that works compared with the LE .

Think the premium pack has extra sound deadening, I certainly didn't think that a 2014 SR was any quieter than my 2010 car

This might be a route to a cheap Evora, if you have the time, skills, space, tools, specialist contacts, dedication, concentration, commitment, patience and access to parts.

I'll keep on following the classifieds for a N/A IPS, this one was a total bargain but a lucky fellow on the lotus forum was able to snap it up quick...

I am in the same boat as you except I use my 2011 NA every day. Love the car and don't see the point in going for a S. I am going to wait till the 400s come down in price enough for me to jump straight into one of those. Not because the 400 is a better car, for me on the bumpy Oxfordshire roads the 2011 NA is probably better (and better looking IMO) but by then my NA will be starting to get a bit high on mileage.
cheers

Looks like my white 59 launch edition is going to be for sale shortly. 36k miles, all the packs, latest alpine system, sports exhaust and sr type wrap.

It won't be £20k but if anyone is interested before it goes to the dealer feel free to ping me a message.

I had a LE and thought they are an excellent car , mine had the c/r box , however all the warranty work needs to be done . After 35 k you would hope so !

I was mulling over pricing, when you look at even a base car (2+0) you get a heck of a lot of performance styling ride and these cars are still quite rare personally I think that high 20's isn't unreasonable when you take in to account what a new car now costs. I know its all subjective but a well looked after and sorted low mileage car is rather appealing. Of course we all want to buy a car as cheaply as possible (Bargain) and sell as high (Result)

I have never been able to do bottoms and tops in prices , however it's the costs between that count . Pay a premium for a quality car and hope your judgement is correct !
