Back in December last year I bought mine (much the same spec with new discs etc but with 50k miles and 2bular valved exhaust) for £28k, but everyone agreed at the time it was a bit of a stunning deal. If anything the market seems a bit more solid since then.
My deal was quite similar and bought it in Feb this year with a little less miles.chrispj said:

Not a yellow one from Christopher Neils by chance was it? Seems I got reasonable money back on mine then recently. I sold through Jon Seal sportscars (my second sale through Jon) and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to either sell or buy.

Trying to work out what mine is worth.
2010 n/a sport, premium, tech
Storm Titanium
70k miles
Full lotus history
Clutch replaced at 35k miles (current clutch is fine)
New front discs etc
2012 gear cables
Highish miles but well maintained
(Mods this is not an ad. I can't find comparable evidence.)

Mine also has 2bular and barge boards
They do look good! Though with the barge boards I think it needs the front splitter to finish it off. Gives it a bit of an edge...Shnozz said:

'Fraid not, it's a rather lovely Canyon Red/Oyster model I picked up from Bell & Colvill.Shnozz said:
If I wasn't thinking of moving house I actually would! It's all I can do to keep hold of the Elise right now though. The Wookie said:
Ex lotus managers car? I had EHW which was a marketing car!
I think it was a management car. I'm the third owner so couldn't say for sure off the top of my head, would have to check the seloc thread from when I was asking around before I bought it.It's in lovely condition (for age & mileage - there's some wear on the seat bolster which I need to either Gliptone or retrim at some point) and other than the 1st/2nd gear change which doesn't like to be hurried is fabulous to drive so I can't say I'm overly concerned whether it was with management or marketing.

Sorry I wasn't trying to suggest there was anything wrong with it! I wouldn't worry if it was either, I used mine for visitor ride/drives before I bought it and had no issue as they were looked after fastidiouslyIt's in lovely condition (for age & mileage - there's some wear on the seat bolster which I need to either Gliptone or retrim at some point) and other than the 1st/2nd gear change which doesn't like to be hurried is fabulous to drive so I can't say I'm overly concerned whether it was with management or marketing.
I was trying to remember whose car it was, I know a few that were the red, vaguely remember a car with the sequential plate from mine but can't remember who had it!
You may find the shift improves with a linkage adjustment, generally if it was a non-ride and handling manager then they weren't as critical and may not have been annoying the servicing department as often with tweaks and adjustments

Yup, original ad here:http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l...
Just to keep this thread alive - £25k and not a Cat C

Looks to have a black tailgate and refinished wheels. Anyone spot anything else weird about it? Otherwise would be a £30k car at a dealer?

In 2014 it failed the MOT test for both the headlamps being loose, out of alignment and the washers not working. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

9 days and a 140 miles later it turned up for another MOT elsewhere and failed for all the same reasons.
The MOT had expired January 2014 before it turned up for the test in May.
Maybe had a front end crash and not put back together well? Trying to get the car through another MOT without repairing the issues sounds like someone wanted to do things on the cheap.

bks, just seen it's nearly 2 years since I started the thread and launch edition cars are still being advertised for the same price as back then. Why didn't I just empty my ISA and enjoy it for a couple of years before I went and looked at moving house??

The headlights are very hard to align, held only by 3 bolts and the front one needs arms the length of a baboons, a hand the size of an 8 year old and the dexterity of a brain surgeon. Apart from that easy!I get mine sorted by the dealer!
