It would have to be the 's' model.

If I'm reading How Many Left right, 2012 was a bad year for registrations - 46 2+2 Evora S's vs 159 in 2011, so there is going to be a lot of competition if you're looking for 2012 cars rather than 2011 and earlier...Stu
Do these cars have a little depreciation blip when they fall out of the 3-year warranty zone?

That's not ideal! The 2012 was the year with a whole host of improvements to the evora.Do these cars have a little depreciation blip when they fall out of the 3-year warranty zone?

2012 was a bad year in general for Lotus with the DRB takeover of Proton, uncertainty after they sacked Bahar and factory shutdown while they tried to work on process improvements, supplier payments, etc.Stu
There are differences but IMHO you wouldn't miss them if you didn't have them.
They are nice to have and if you can afford it go for the later cars but it's not a deal breaker, or in my opinion it shouldn't be.
Plenty on here like me with MY10 evora's using them everyday without an issue and wouldn't pay (or couldn't justify) the extra to get into a later car.

Its all about the interior tbh, the rest is the same (there are other changes but you won't se/notice them). Despite claims of improved build I don't think my car is any better than a pre MY12 car.
I'd agree with that, although I'd also add the gearshift as it is significantly better in my experience of them. Aside from the doors clunking shut a bit more authoritatively it hasn't been any better for minor rattles and fiddly faults. Neither car (touch wood) had any major reliability concerns apart from the pre-recall oil leak. The interior does look nicer and has worn much better though.

You can get this upgraded as part of the deal...I did.
That good info! Is it only the leather seats other than this that really make a difference between the models? Any software or hardware differences in engine map, infotainment system etc?Stu
Tech Pack - satnav/bluetooth/cd/radio, cruise control
Premium Pack - full leather front and rear, more leather on dash/sills, body coloured door handles
Other extras are:
reversing cameras - useful
garage door opener (homelink) - depends on whether you have electric gates
Then there are the motorsport options/add ons eg barge boards, GT4 wing etc etc

Infotainment systems are more or less all as crap as eachother, the later ones are more user friendly but once you've adapted to the old one I wouldn't call it a deal breaker!

Based on this it would have to be 2012 or later for me. Tech Pack - satnav/bluetooth/cd/radio, cruise control

The point is that you can get all this on any model year car. The thing is to check the specs carefully
Indeed you are correct, id also like to add that earlier cars, performance wise are excellent not all had problems with gear linkage cables, the main difference on the standard models tend to be just trim levels but other than that you would be hard pushed to tell the difference they all provide stonking performanceEdited by Toaster on Tuesday 27th January 09:10

^^^^^ really!
Mine is a 2010 car with 2012 gearchange cables and its fine, I have no issues with high rev changes, but I do take care to rev match/heel and toe
It's a £40 mod or something and i find it much nicer than the standard gear knob. It's fooking cold in the mornings though Mine is a 2010 car with 2012 gearchange cables and its fine, I have no issues with high rev changes, but I do take care to rev match/heel and toe
