The spec in writing is pretty much the same until you get down to the detail. It is a pre MY12 car. I was discussing this and a number of other cars with a Lotus dealer at the weekend.
I'm not sure it would sit around for over a year before being registered. The spec does have items from the facelift. I guess only one way to find out.Edit. Here it is on Autotrader, definitely a pre 2012 spec car

In what way? It literally has zero additions found from MY12 onwards, from the photos or the description. I suggest you read up more on Evora's blueg33 - the switchable exhaust has always been available on the Evora S.
Edit - And yes Lotus' do sit around unregistered, especially if there's been a Model Year change when the dealer got an old spec car in. Probably the case here. There's a '09 plate purple MY04 Elise that does the rounds in the classifieds quite often.

The switcheable exhaust was a post 2012 facelift standard fit. Doesn't mean it wasn't added as an extra though. I've not seen any early models with the black pack either but I have no idea when that what introduced.blueg33 - the switchable exhaust has always been available on the Evora S.

The only thing in the spec from facelift maybe switchable exhaust, and I think some cars had that from 2011. Otherwise the spec is same as mine (except wheels) which is a 2010 model year. I also have this nagging thought that Paprika leather wasn't available after the 2012 facelift (but I stand to be corrected on that)
Edit. Here it is on Autotrader, definitely a pre 2012 spec car

It must have been sitting unregistered for over a year to have managed to get a '13 plate!Edit. Here it is on Autotrader, definitely a pre 2012 spec car

That car doesn't have the black pack as far as I am aware
I'm referring to the lower part of the front and sides that are black. I've only seen that on later cars.blueg33 said:
Quite a few early cars have had it done using a wrap. Dealer offered to do it on my car when I was thinking of buying.
Confirmed from the dealer, MY11 and registered 13. I think with the MY12 only just hitting 3 years that is why there aren't many at the moment. Towards the year end and early 2016 they are going to be hitting the market and that will effectively put them at what is currently 2011/12 prices and of course the 10/11 cars are going to drop further.delta0 said:

Delta, no offence, but you keep banging on about lower prices that aren't really happening. There are very few Evoras around, and the last year of the Bahar reign and into the 'rescue' period meant that only a handful were added to the inventory. The engine is solid, the bodywork lasts (as it has on Elises) and the performance is still stellar. Yes, it will depreciate, but I really don't think that you're going to see a magic drop in prices just because you keep talking about it. From the launch date there were plenty of people waiting for it to get to some magic number (like 30K) for them to be able to afford it - and as you can see from this thread, they're paying pretty close attention to the market, ready for good cars to come available. If you see a car with a low price, or that's been around for a while, be suspicious. The same happened with the Elise - they're durable little cars, but get worked hard. The ones that get cheap quick have usually had a harder life than normal. If the car is listed for sale, IMHO there's a deal to be done! If you're only a couple of K away from your target price, why not get in there and haggle? The dealer probably doesn't own the car unless it's a part-ex, so they just pass you haggling on to the seller - they're still happy, whatever the price...
The car I bought wasn't even listed, but I got 6% off the initially suggested price with a single counter bid, showing the prices of similar cars...
Don't be reserved and British, be behind the wheel of a fantastic car a year or so sooner than you were expecting!

Hi, the silver car is one of the Stratstone 2011MY Evoras they sold in 2013. They were all pretty much standard but with recall updates applied, leather on the dash reupholstered which was a common 11MY problem.
I know this because I have one and my reg is nearly the same!
They were bargains at the time and with sorted gear changes and a cat bypass pipe drive pretty much identically to the 12MY.
Don't be put off, just haggle a bit more!
Alistair
