Plenty of places can retro fit a simple switch to deactivate the airbag. Not expensive or difficult either.
GT Cars in Warrington can do it for you.
It depends where the switch is connected into te airbag circuit. Aceess to the airbag in the Evora is dash out and costs circa £300GT Cars in Warrington can do it for you.

By some way I`d have thought...I am pretty sure the current S would, especially in the real world. Still they are all mega fast and too quick for the real world so a bit academic really...unless you are on a quiet mountain pass or an Autobahn of course.
Love it all apart from the rear end...more work required there I think. Like the LSD lots. Relatively simple alterations to gain the extra power aswell.
When Auto Express did a Cayman S vs Evora S head to head around Blyton Park circuit, the Porsche was a natch quicker, but really there was nothing in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYvr38OOAOELove it all apart from the rear end...more work required there I think. Not that it matters at all IMO - both the Cayman GT4 and Evora 400 would be great fun, I'm sure. I think though the fact that you can choose to spend an extra £563 having the air vent slats on your new GT4 painted says a bit more about the different target audiences

I saw that ages ago, and I met the Journalist a few years ago at the B&B I use when he turned up in a new Aventador...what a sight that was in the farmyard car park!
Anyhow, he kept saying the Evora was under steering. Basically he was not driving it properly in my arrogant opinion...they certainly do not under steer. In truth it will come down to tyres and there`ll be nothing in it. I know on the road my Evora will walk all over any Boxster/Cayman, and any 911 up to a 997 GT3!...not in this country of course. And come to think of it, I have never come across a Boxster/Cayman on a track day?

less torque even though it's SC and the GT4 is NA, more weight, less downforce and smaller brakes, so I doubt it.
Evora power to weight 282 that's if it has 400bhp ! don't know a Lotus yet which has made it's advertised BHp.
GT4 power to weight 287 and we all know it has more than 385BHp Porsche always make more, the guy who designed it says it has more.
then out the bends the GT4 has more torque and down force and is 75kg lighter and a est ring time of 7.40, even the Exige S is 7.53 !
How confident are you again ?
Nice car though if still a little to expensive imo, only posting a few stats ;-)
sorry to be an engineer about your stats but you are missing out tyre mue, CofG height and % front, track width front and rear, spring rates, ARBs, damper settings, roll stiffness, torsional stiffness, installation stiffness etc...all of which would be first order parameters when it comes to predicting a vehicles performance. Dont be taken in by some headline figures.
Think we all agree that the measure of a car is how much enjoyment you get from driving it. In the case of an Evora the answer is lots, in the case of a Porsche (or Ferrari) on typical Oxfordshire bumpy roads IMO less. And as far as on track goes I don't know, I have yet to meet a Porsche driver on track, too many Elises / Caterhams / 211 etc..

Well, either you know nowt about Lotus' or you have your ears cupped and saying 'lalala'.
Every Esprit coming off the line made its stated bhp (within a few). They were pretty much bang on.

Problem is people buy sports cars based on spreadsheets and residuals these days and that's why everyone buys the Cayman and while v accomplished it's all rather boring as we end up owning something that is sensible.
The only cars Porsche make that seem exciting are the gt cars (for me) and you cannot but them.
But, how many people who think they would go for the interesting option with say an Exige, when they do get to the point in life where they can afford it, end up going for the sensible Cayman?
It's only when you get to much higher prices that people really start to buy with their hearts in general.
It's why I'm afraid to say, why lotus will continue to struggle (at best), and also why my next car is going to be a lotus not a Porsche.
So only question is Exige s or Evora 400

I like it... in fact I like it more every day!
The 400 was a bit of a eye opener at first, a little like the Elise S2 was compared to the friendlier looking S1, all in all though I reckon Lotus have done a good job, as ever with limited funds. The Evora S is quite a car, another 50 bhp, a few Kg's lighter and the 400 should be awesome. Looking forward to seeing the shots from Geneva, that should give a true, unbiased view of car.

Here is Daniel Craig-Lookalike Buying A Lotus Evora 400. This guy looks exactly like 007.
From the article:
In case you thought that April Fools’ Day jokes are over, here we are ruining it for you. It’s Lotus’ turn this time as the British sportscar maker has just posted a series of pictures with this fellow picking up his new car. The fellow might look like Daniel Craig, but the car is, in fact, the Evora 400, the auto manufacturer's latest addition that is months away from reaching the market.

Well, glad to say that I must not be "everyone". After working and paying exorbitant taxes for 30 years and supporting my family I've finally reached the stage where it was about me and my attentions turned to buying myself a car for purely my pleasure and enjoyment. The only cars Porsche make that seem exciting are the gt cars (for me) and you cannot but them.

So, armed only with my eyes, my ears, my hands and the arse in the seat of my pants (no thought about spreadsheets, residuals, or even WhatCar figures from performance listings) I just stumbled across the right car and bought it - a n/a ardent red Evora - no fancy tech or premium packs, just what matters which is the sports pack, a decat pipe, lotus titanium tipped sports exhaust, and the close ratio gearbox. Pure driving sublimeness. Oh, and did I mention it is the 2+0 too (no need for kid seats at my age - yeah!) - my idea of driving heaven though I realise not to everyone's taste or their cup of tea. Which is fine by me.
And the real icing on the cake - the two wing shields with the Union Flag proudly displayed that tell me, and the world, that this great country of ours can still make great sports cars.
If I'd worked out the tech right, hopefully the picture attached is what the average boxster/cayman driver will see the most.... Happy driving everyone.
