That's Frimleys car and it's very nice, not as over the top as the one I am after.

Aimee called me about the black one with red trim last week. My main problem is that for me it's a daily driver and all 3 packs make a difference. My current one has all 3 plus tubular exhaust, barge boards, 2012 gear cables, etc. Makes it hard to replace, the only reason for changing is so that if doesn't end up with stratospheric mileage
I'm in similar position, although only do 6-8k pa but I also have some nice mods. Considered one of the new Motorsport green n/a sport racers, and the B&C GTE but just cannot justify the cost to change. These being twice and three times a good trade in price respectively. Combine this with the likelihood that the former would lose 40% of its value in 3/4 years I'm of a mind that even if you ended pup with a "worthless" car over 3 years it would still work out to have cost less.

Im beginning to think it'd have to be something pretty special for me to trade up(hence the GTE) but then I don't want to feel guilty about using it.

Done that.

I don't get offended. I negotiate for a living.
Fair enough! If the seller is unrealistic, there's not much you can do but wait!

Oh ok, in your opinion (current owner) are the changes to the MY2012 worth the extra money? From reading about the changes and seeing them in pictures alone they seem to be worth it.

I prefer the pre my12 interior tbh except for the alpine head unit which is good at nav and terrible at phone.

Black one with red detailing and MY2012 interior??

I agree it's about 4k over priced if we are thinking of the same one.

Stu
It is now on sale at Lotus Silverstone for £45k. Anyone know if Silverstone bought it (and for how much) or if it is SOR?

There is a website which you can use to calculate the depreciation rates on a given model and year that I found a while back. They use selling data/purchase data to keep it realistic.

Can't remember the URL, but I have it stored somewhere. Try using Google to locate it.

The Whatcar one is miles out. It reckons a 4 year old n/a 2+2 is worth £21k

Most of those sites are unreliable, when you think about it most dealers look for a margin of around 3K if they can make more then good for them they have premises to upkeep and a like us all need shopping in there basket at the end of the week.

The best way to show the seller that it's overpriced is to find a similar car at a lower price, and a much better one at a slightly higher price.

Is that 13 plate Red SR-S still at Murrays for 46K with 13.5K Miles on the clock?
