Just after peoples impressions about tyre choice.

I currently run Avon ZZR5`s which are very good, better wear rate but not quite so good when really pushing on, but still very acceptable.

I picked up somewhere that Michelin Cup Pilots or something along these lanes were very good. I am looking for performance and dry/wet weather grip as opposed to getting the last mile out of the tyre...

Thanks

Michelin Pilot Supersports are generally accepted as the current best road tyre on the market. I've had them on previous cars and currently have a set on my (new to me) Evora S. The dry grip is phenomenal and the wet performance is pretty good (for a high performance 'summer' road tyre).

They are also the OEM fitment for the Evora 400.

I can highly recommend them.

Loving the MPSS tyres. Have been in really heavy rain with wipers being the limiting factor and they have been fine, though I do avoid standing water. Have done 1700 miles with very little wear.

Might seem like a daft question but where would I buy a spare set of wheels from?

Another vote for the Michelin Pilot Supersport here. I initially drove my car on the OEM Pirellis, before changing to wider wheels with Dunlop winter tyres from November to March, then Michelins thereafter. I'm very happy indeed with the PSS, definitely the best I have had on the Evora in terms of outright dry grip and they are nice and sure-footed in the wet; however, I've not had them on long enough to form a view as to their durability.

CTE - if you are still looking for wheels, my original set of Lotus forged 'sport' alloys (in anthracite) will be going on eBay soon as a ready-to-bolt-on set complete with TPMS sensors and relatively new Pirellis - PM me if you might be interested! Otherwise, from experience I can say that your only other options if you want to buy new are the dealer for Lotus wheels or a very small selection of aftermarket alloys. Let me know if you want more details
