Dear all,

First post on the Evora section.

Have been a Lotus fan for many years and currently have 4 in the stable.

Have never thought about an Evora before but have been totally hooked over the past couple of weeks. Been on YouTube and listened to the ones with Sports exhausts and totally love the sound. Been reading the reports and all are brilliant.

So...... Some questions for you experts if you please:-
1) do you think the new 400 will be that much different and better?
2) Does the supercharged Sports Racer have all the optional "packs" on them? The website is not very helpful in terms of what is standard and what is optional.
3) will my kids fit? Have a 5 and 10 year old. I am 6'3" so would love to know if we can all fit in without taking the whole family hundreds of miles to a Lotus dealer. My Stradale is massive in the back so have not had any space constraint considerations before.
4) Warranty - is it 1 year or 3 years?
5) What's the best sports exhaust combo?

Any other areas or points I should think about? Car would be daily driver for the wife and kids during summer months.

Appreciate any responses as planing to buy one in the next few days,,, if I can find the colour we want.

Cheers,

Stu

Hard to say as don't know anyone who's driven one (and talked about it) yet. Personally I like the looks, which do seem to divide opinions, but its not like the dynamics of the existing model are really criticised. Extra power can't hurt in terms of marketing, although is largely irrelevant on the road.

Yes, the Sports Racer is fully loaded and includes the Sport, Premium and Tech Packs.

Errrrm....... Ish. It'll depend how you are proportioned to some extent. I set up the front seat of one for myself and then couldn't fit in the back. I'm only 5'10", but long in the leg and short in the body, so sit one notch off the stops in my Elise and Fiesta.

You'll probably find the 5 year old could sit behind you and the 10 year old behind the passenger seat if your partner is shorter than you, but they won't appreciate long journeys.

Then again my Dad made me suffer 6 hour trips in his Supra when I was 10 and I always remember how cool the car was over how awful traveling in the back of it was. wink

Three years, unlimited mileage, on the regular Elise/Exige/Evora models I believe. One year on the Motorsport models like the Exige V6 Cup.
