I concur with Schnozz - the W920R unit is light years better than the original 505, and the newer head is still available at a bargain price from where I got mine : http://www.motorsportauctions.com/index.php?a=ap&a...

I didn't fit it myself but entrusted it to our local Lotus indie (Craig Moncrieff, former Murray Motor Company service manager) whilst my P&J was in for a service anyway. From what I can gather it's not a straight swap as the wiring loom needs a bit of 'fettling' (there is an adaptor lead - Part No A132M0326F - from Lotus for about £30 or so which helps with this) and in my case, I also needed a new reversing camera and associated wiring as the old one ran on a different voltage to the supply from the new head, . I don't know all the ins and out of this, I'd need to ask Craig what was involved.
