Finally got some time for a long weekend, celebrate our wedding anniversary. And the Esprit springs a radiator leak. Time to borrow something interesting for a few days.

What can I say - it's all true. An awesome bit of kit. The way it dealt with the Highland roads was uncanny. Performance, noise, presence, it has it in spades. Only downside - I had to return it last night.

Boo! No chance of spotting it getting the shopping in at B&Q Kirkcaldy this weekend then? wink

No, but I was at Sainsbury on Friday evening.....where were you?

Should have mentioned we were at Cameron House Hotel, Loch Lomond where the Evora was launched. Who'd have thought that 6 years later I'd be rocking up in one.

And here it is parked on my drive. Some folks didn't quite believe me when I said I'd borrowed it for a few days....

Was Ian trying to talk you in to buying it? biggrin

Very nice loan car, I'll be sure to point out that if my 400 is in for any work I'll be expecting a like for like loan car as a minimum!

Heresy I know, but as wonderful as it is it doesn't quite fit our motoring needs. Its probably an age thing but we err towards the GT side and the Esprit, with a bigger boot(s) and much more room inside (Evora +2 notwithstanding) suits us better. So we need Lotus to get on with the new Esprit or even a new (Bahar-type) Elite. Or something.

One other observation - its a magnet for tailgaters, dangerously so, especially the utter twonk in the BMW 1 Series on the hill above Abderfeldy - so close I couldn't see his headlights in the mirror at one point. At 60mph (ahem). Things like that can ruin your day.

Glad you liked the Evora 400, does look a bit of a weapon.

Blimey MMC are getting better at loan cars nowadays, remember the days (2003-06) when we had the S1 Elise 111S and you were lucky if you got a Suzuki Wagon R !!!

Also miss our Evora and often regret selling.
