I quite like the standard Evora S exhaust as well, it sounds nice and guttural on start up and revving, and wails nicely at high RPM, whilst not droning on the motorway.

Agreed with the 3rd car removed it's a nice system but I think it lacks a special sound with the stock exhaust and for my taste was still a bit too quiet.

When I bought mine, I had intentions of doing the same, but I must have had the window up during the test drive, as having convinced myself it was going to be too quiet whilst I waited to pick it up from B&C, I was very pleasantly surprised.

I've still never got round to getting my wife to do a drive by though, I'd love to hear what it actually sounds like from outside. If that disappoints, then I may consider an upgrade!

This is my SR (so no third cat from factory) with the larinibsports exhaust with valve. It sounds epic under load and has a lovely burble in sport at idle. When idling and revving it is not wildly different from the stock in the clip but in reality it is nicer. Like I say, under load is where you really hear the difference. Happy to meet and take anyone for a spin to help them decide. I am based in Essex.

I'm in Essex and have been considering a SR for a while. I'm based near Chelmsford...

Looking for better exhaust sound as previously discussed. I ordered the 2Bular link pipe at Christmas. Turned up last week and is very nicely made. Got the car up on stands (surprisingly easy, no clearance issues), removing undertray and splitter was a bit tricky due to a rounded fixing on the undertray. It was one of the two rearmost ones buy the exhaust tip so access with drill was tricky.

Anyway, undertray off - and the car already has a straight through pipe between manifolds and the silencer.

Anyone want a straight through link pipe for an Evora S ?

Rear tyres are wearing on inside shoulder. Car is only used for fun and I do like to lean on the back end so it's possible it's down to usage but I think it's due a quick once over of suspension bushes etc and a good wheel alignment check.

This is a clip from what I had ithought was the "before" situation... but as explained, it already had the straight through pipe.

Bummer! Get a Larini valves back box. Love mine. My rear left was wearing on the inside. Needed alignment. It was way off!

I'm waiting to see the painted version.

Can't decide on a Larini or dive in a bit deeper and go Komotec. I've not wanted more performance during any drive, but you always tell yourself more is better.

Any recomemdations on alignment?

Here is the update on the key fob. Personally I am very pleased with it.

I too want to komotec the car but don't have the funds. I too have never found myself wanting more power on any drive. The only real world benefit would be for overtaking on motorways. I have read the 430 makes the wheels spin up a lot so maybe 410 is the sweet spot. Still that's 4.5k on top of the back box if you don't have it.

The 430 does not make the rear wheels spin in third...unless you are on a really greasy surface and then traction control will kick in...there is not much more torque than the standard set up. If you want a significant hike in performance, then go the 460hp route..it adds another 95Nm or torque, which will make a substantial difference...if the traction control does not interfere too much.

What's the torque increase with the 430?

A komotec 430 s must be a beast! The 400 does it just over 4 seconds...

Evora 400:
- nm: 410
- pound feet: 302

Evora s:
- nm: 400
- pound feet: 295

Evora s komotec 430:
- nm: 467
- pound feet: 344

Pretty decent torque gain if you ask me.

15hp with the map and intake for 1500... that's a lot of wedge for very few ponies.

That's a poor increase in power then from the Komotec upgrades. What's the other options then. There is another cai for around £500 I think? What price are manifolds and what would this give you?

Depends on the manifolds you go for. Either way you really need a tune to accompany any mod. Personally i would just save and go for one of the komotec options. There is no one else with such proven development. I'll be getting Larini manifolds if I do this to go with my back box.
